Either of ya guys know if you can scan internally for cover arts/game art? I added it, as the original build has folders and images set, just didn't bother adding "-image" to every .png I had. Any way around this? I can't find my wifi adapter, and scraping again would feel redundant, I've already got the images as I like them...

I have a few problems. When you say version 3 in the title dont you mean version 30 beta ? Downloaded from your link which seems to say it is v29 at the top of the page. V29 had problems with wifi and adding roms fior me. Managed to find latest v30 beta installed it ok and was fine. Added Roms and now just shows a black screen on boot. Must admit losing faith in it compared to emuelec that just worked.

Everyone mentions the chipset. I can get 3d games up unto Half Life to work really well. The odroid is meant for mid 90s games and before. Upgrade the analog sticl with ps Vista, and silicone diaphragms. The heatsink is cool but not necessary. Hard kernel put your money inside and in the screen. Sticks and diaphragms are easy upgrades and the case is easy to wrench on. Betacera seems to have the fewest issues. Good review.
they are Ps vita analog sticks, I did a mod work way better than the OG analog sticks it comes with, I did do a video on it few days ago buddy...check it out

Hey Sonic, I am getting one of these consoles in a few days as a gift from a friend... That said, I don't quite know how to get it started up with firmware and games and I can't find any clear vids on how to. I know people may ask why am I getting one if I don't know how to get it going but I love tinkering and learning about this stuff. I find it phenomenal what you do as well as some other very talented gaming guys n gals on youtube. I've asked two other channels but no response except for a little bit of hate from a random troll telling me if I don't know what I'm doing I should get a f##@#n Gameboy.. idk. Any mods out there for the DPAD? I love this device but I absoutely abbhor the dpad and want to see if there's anything out there folks have done to address how imprecise it feels. I've replaced my analogs with Vita stick (which helped a ton) but the dpad and the rubber function buttons are kind of awful.

Mario Kart 64 should have a fixed core that fixes the black video screen above the tunnel now. At least on my little Asus Transformer mini Tab that I dumped Batocera on it does. Running latest beta of v 30-dev 2021/02/14
In the UK the retroid pocket 2 and odroid go super are roughly the same price.. if anything the odroid is cheaper (i have both) and the odroid kicks the retroid to the kerb mainly because of the screen.
I downloaded Batocera and yes I like it. It just works. My issue is that I'm trying to get the ZX Spectrum mapped to play Jetpac. I spent all day transferring my roms and scraping the box arts. It's probably the best OS for the OGS at the moment.
I just downloaded Batocera and put it on the Super but when I ran Giana Sisters on the C64 it ran so slowy the main character was barely moving... no idea what I am missing. Is a base image downloaded from their site with nothing changed :-(
Since you know a lot how about a comparison of the latest frontends. Batocera, emuelec and any other worthwhile projects. Why choose batocera over emuelec and vice versa
to be honest they have all updated the cores and added different options so it’s fantastic they are still getting lots of support, my favourite so far is the Batocera for the ogs
@@fonzitheman Theres a windows readable folder so plugging the sd card into a windows computer means you can easily transfer files to the rom folder using drag and drop. On batocera the file system is not readable by windows unless you install something like "Linux file system for windows" which is just 10-day trial software. There are other software but they were not user-friendly and I couldn't get them going. Using the Linux software above it's not a problem at the moment until it expires (but apparently, you just uninstall and reinstall..never tested yet as just started using it). The linux drive shows up as a useable windows drive. The main problem with Batocera is I could not get it to work properly, or at all but guess that's what beta software is like.

it’s not the best but it’s fine man the analog sticks definitely need to be swapped out for the vita ones but it’s a easy fix and I have a few tutorials on it, but the screen is awesome and it’s my go to every time gutted we don’t have a more powerful chip set but for what it is...I think it’s great
@@SonicLoveEmulation Its weird actually they would release such a big handheld with the same chipset, its like they are telling the other companies to make a better handheld than theirs.
There is an option in the developer system settings to format it as EXFAT, which is readable on Windows. Apparently it is more susceptible to corruption on bad shutdown, but worth the risk I think.
They need drop the rk3326 or any rockchip for that matter. And just use mt8183 mt8192 or unisoc t618 so that we can run android 10 or variant of emuelec 4.0

no sadly I had to do the painful thing of adding roms over network lol but I 5ghz dongle helps

i noticed your n64 Mario kart didn't stutter but it was quite bad on emuelec 4 when I tried it. I Will have to give batocea a go

I have bezels selected on emuelec 4 but never see any.
really I will have a look at that but they only tend to work if the screen is 16:9 and you add the bezel project to it

I don't like bezels either. Even better than just a correct aspect ratio, with this screen resolution you can do 2x integer scaling with most systems.
On a console hooked up to monitor or TV Ill use bezels.
On a handheld… not fussed.

I love the 4:3 so for me the bezels just look nice keeping the correct aspect ratio...but everyone has different tastes

yes you can make your own image if you know how to, you can but up to a 400gb card in it too
