Regarding tech hits. You have 2 chances to tech most throws in this, and XSF. Once when the grab first happens, to completely escape and once again as soon as your to avoid OTG state. The second one doesn't negate damage but keeps you from getting combo'd more. In MSHvSF and later, you usually auto flip out of most of those 'free combo' throws, like Captain and Psylocke's kick throws, or Cyclops punch throw.
All previous games in the franchise had infinitely better stages. Also in another topic, those previous games had the advantage of having "character music" as opposed to "stage music" in MvC2.
Yeah I'm not a hardcore player by any means (I mostly spent my time on SFV unlocking new characters and stages) so all the generic content in MVC2 was offputting to me.
Actualy it was just a advanced Guard in the first Cannon hit, when the lasers come out, the cannon and the lases had diferent hitboxes, and it may cause a UNBLOCKABLE.
Marvel Super Heroes is the GOAT Marvel Fighter. From animation, music, presentation, graphics and gameplay. I love this one the most and played it the most at the arcade.

In the ancient times where we lived in arcades, winning via chip damage was referred to as "cheesy". Some people even felt it was cheap/unfair. Anyhoo, winning via chip is how you get that icon

The animation in this game is so smooth... Somehow in MvC2 they look stiffed.
Mvc2 cut animations for a lot of characters for space
