Fisker Ocean One - "OCEAN" Light Hack

- Today I show a wiring adapter that will let you light the OCEAN letters on the front of the vehicle. This is especially useful on Sport and Ultra that don't offer the lighting at all. For all trims the OCEAN letters will stay lit while having the parking lights or headlights activated.

I asked my tech about it, he ordered new lights for me. No idea of I’ll ever get them but he said it’s a bit of a job to get to them.

Mine also come on. Tech ordered lights but in the meantime they are disconnected.
Yes, I plan to do a video on disabling the rear reading lights. I keep hearing conflicting info on it being software vs hardware.
I’ve had mine replaced once already. Still comes on. Last time tech came out I just had him disconnect them. Just tired of driving and shutting off 8x everyday

Great question. It may be illegal to keep the badge lit, but curious about this…
Badges on grills can be lit (see VW and MB vehicles.). However on the hood may not be. It seems so arbitrary.

Can you pls do a video that shows how to fix the limo mode when you have to unplug and replug the wires throughout removing the cover in the trunk.

@@salacarh I see. I couple things I would try. I would contact the nearest Fisker third party dealership and see if they can order you one and ship it to you (if you’re not close). Second, contact Fisker customer service and see if you can order one.

Very cool. So does this mean it will stay on while driving with headlights on? And is that legal? At one point I thought I read that Fisker couldn’t illuminate that section while driving since it wouldn’t be street legal.
I can’t vouch for legal/illegal status. You will need to determine for where you live (federal or state). Everything I found states for the front of the car no red or blue lights in the US. The OCEAN lettering is white.
Nice video. Do you have any idea how to replace cabin air filter? The ocean doesn’t have glove box so I have no idea where the cabin filter located? My ocean one only have 2k miles but the a/c smell like molding inside so stink.
It is something I want to do. However no replacement filters are available yet.
Like many vehicles, don’t leave recirculate on and turn off AC a mile or two before the destination so the coils can dry out.

Do we need the torque wrench to put the 2 bolts back in to hold lock the hood?
The owners manual does give torque specs. Honestly I just torque them by manually until they feel tight. I don’t have a torque wrench with those specific settings. The two I have are too large or too small.

Yes, roadside assistance has ended. People are still getting service. It looks like the independent dealers will be providing service once they get trained.
I have to fix a defective daytime running light/headlight. Any chance of doing a video on those?
Good question. I haven’t looked at or investigated that part yet. Probably best to request service ASAP.
@@MTNRanger I did. Ive had a service request in for 2 months... IG Page, E Mail, App Service request, Phone service request and even spoke with one of their new dealer's service centers, but they haven't received any training on service. Looking into just trying to fix it myself.

Cool little mod! It's a shame the maker didn't also release a pinout for those of us who are capable of repining the existing connector. I appears he added 1 additional wire in the new plug, so I imagine it is just a single power or ground that has been spliced off of the headlight signal.
I would send a message in Etsy to ask.
@@MTNRanger I asked him directly in a fisker facebook group and got no response, so I don't think he has intentions of doing so at the moment unfortunately. If only someone who already had one in hand was willing to take some pictures of the connections and post them for others *wink wink*

Nice job. Having the Ocean light on is a special touch. It goes unnoticed when it is off. Thanks for the “how to” video and the link. Although going under the hood is a little unnerving. 🫨
