2004-2010 Volkswagen Tow Hitch Installation guide.

Sup guys! In todays video I show you how to install an OEM VW tow hitch onto a volkswagen touareg. Regardless if you use a OEM hitch or aftermarket one the procedure is the same.

Removing the interior pieces is only needed if you have a OEM VW wire harness for the tow hitch and to active the tow mode. If you are using an aftermarket hitch this step is not needed.

Hey Don, where did you get the OEM hitch? I have a 2010 Touareg, but doesn't have a hitch from VW at all, for the wiring parts, do I only install the module you mentioned in the video, or it needs to get completely wired across the car?

I did check with VCDS but everything changed on it’s own since it was all OEM parts

If you mean attaching the new tow hitch/bar you use the original bolts. Just put some fresh lock tight and torque to spec.

you could have bought an westfalia hitch and it would fit without cutting that bumper cover.
