Hello, Thank you for the video. I have the same VW polo 2010. I hear everywhere that if I install the electrical wires like you, I will get error messages on the dashboard. Do you have problems or does everything work fine?
@@Jeroen30 you are actually right. There are no errors in normal operation, but if you connect the trailer plug, you will see a yellow broken light indicator on the dashboard. I guess the self diagnostic measures a higher resistance of the bulbs and gives the warning. Ideally you should connect the wires directly to the light switch relays under the steering wheel to avoid it. But I left it as is, since I know the nature of the warning and it reminds me of the trailer behind me. Also I don’t use the trailer with this car so often, so I am too lazy to change the wiring.
