Sometimes people speak quickly and energetically because throughout their life they haven't been given the respect of being listened to, so they feel as if they must hit you with it while they've got your attention.

I myself do this at times because of the thought or feeling of never being seen or heard. Best way I can explain it is Being invisible for so long causes people to do this since once they are finally seen they have to unload everything before they go back to being invisible. Joe can be a real a$$, kind of his signature now I guess but still he should be more aware.

The most annoying thing though is people who THINK they're smarter. Just because that is the norm, or because that's how you see it, doesn't make it true. And when that is the case, and they are wrong and can't come off of their position because they are afraid of looking dumb, is when they are the dumbest of all.

it's just like pointing out someone speaks too loud or doesn't speak loud enough, they switch up their volume accordingly bc you've now made them conscious of a thing they tend to do unconsciously, it's not shocking or surprising. Test it out. Tell someone mid-convo that they move their hands around a lot, depending on whether you point it out as an observation or as a judgement, they'll either become more obvious with their hand gestures or stop them completely. it's normal.

It’s a very good tactic as it avoids the trappings of subvocalisation. By speaking, or writing, you get to see/hear the form of the idea, it’s first manifestation. You then can change it based on this manifestation. The listener doesn’t need to give feedback yet as it’s just the first, or third (depends when you spit it out) iteration. Ultimately though the finer points of shared collaborative work should be a dialogue, not just a sounding board - otherwise your partner or coworkers will just leave 😂

Definitely do exist, and all people have them to some extent. Only some people are more in tune with them, some can even practice and sharpen their skills.
Most people don't realize but I'm sure we've all heard of the term "sixth sense" and the sixth sense literally is a form of psychic ability. The feeling of being watched, or the feeling of not being alone, even though you're the only person in the room. Or feeling someone looking at you from behind, only to turn around and watch them look away like you caught them, or feeling someone sneak up on you from behind, these are great examples of typical everyday psychic activity we've brushed off and defined as simply "normal" human function instead of "paranormal" or psychic abilities

I have an amazing story. One day I was driving home and I felt the presence of the Lord, come down to me from above. It was as real as anything and I felt so comfortable with Him.
I knew if I asked Him to play a song on the radio, He would.
So I said "Ok Lord, play Come as you are..."
I didn't know what station it was on or anything, but I turned the radio on and the song started playing right on the spot, perfectly...
I started getting flooded with chills inside, trembling, and crying tears of joy. When I got home, He stayed with me for 10 minutes till I got out of the car.
I've been getting amazing prayers answered for around 5 years since, because that experience made me stop doubting when I pray, and I follow Biblical instructions, best I can.

Talking fast is worse when I am happy because the excitement radiates. Fast talking matches the racing my brain does the whole time. Talking slow causes stuttering in my case because I'm not keeping time with the words in my head. Lol. However, taking a deep breath helps me to slow down for others in an attempt to make better conversation. That's best for everyone involved. I've learned to contain myself as best as possible because I'm quite a bit to handle at full force. Maybe this guy's the same.

Literally King sized bed soaked with tears. In the last dream with my dad in was made clear some things about this world. First, the aliens are the ones controlling the simulation and we are much too weak to fight them. They pretty much tell us what program we will be and we accept it because they have power to demote and promote. So judgement day is real but the people behind our entire reality may be different than what we thought. The aliens looked exactly like us. The only difference is that they had much more power and tech.

They know he's talking shit. He puts them on the spot in front of millions of viewers/listeners. What could they do though without being triggered and proving Joe's point. They have to roll with the punches and accept his criticism. This guy understands that he was called out and even tried to explain his reasoning. Two adults can hold a conversation and accept criticism and tension. Only immature people lash out on being called out especially if they know they are in fact the subject of that very criticism. Check out other podcasts and see how immature people handle it very badly. Joe even calls out his own friends like Eddie over flat earth and other dumb conspiracies. He also has called out Bryan Callen for being too conceited about how much of a good fighter he self proclaims to be. Those are funny but when Joe calls out politicians, scientists, philosophers and other enthusiasts. It's awkward and harsh but also very funny.

James Randy's one million dollars challenge is undefeated.

    • @manafro2714
      @manafro2714 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

The first person to win the challenge would get to cash his prize money from a military official, who would also offer the lucky winner an invitation he could not refuse to spend an indefinite amount of time at an undisclosed location, where he would have the privilege to teach his secrets to the military. Refusing this offer would have unfortunate consequences for both parties, but perhaps accepting it would have a similar result to one party: after learning everything the winner had to teach, they would have to guarantee that foreign forces did not learn these secrets, and as we know there is only one guarantee in life...
People don't take kindly to those that are not normal, even in ways that have a natural explanation, like race, intelligence, beauty, accomplishments. I'm sure those whose differences can't be explained by natural causes learned this the hard way, and would fear similar results from the general public if their abilities were exposed. What do you think would happen if people started believing again in witches? Mad Max shows what the world would be like after a Third World War, just as X-Men is probably a good representation of a world where people believed in psychic powers.
I'm glad that no one won Randy's prize!

    • @archaic9525

the problem is: present times science is barely apprehending quantities, not quality. Tools for this rely on esoteric apparatus, and modern science tends to reject the power of symbols. I only know C.G. Jung's works who do use this dimension, which makes his approach of human psyche far more effective than let's say Freud's or Lacan's. Scientists have to modify their paradigms, and this is less and less probable, time going on. The paradox is that today's scientists are turning into some sort of a new faith, for not being open minded.

The media seems to disagree but fuck them and their ideals 😂💯 Even Joe can be biased but I appreciate him bringing up counter arguments regardless, that's straight up good journalism. He is a generally honest guy who asks good questions in interviews and recognizes his own bias, this may sound funny but he is a good news source for the actual news he discusses with his guests

I understand that. I do the exact same thing with my teeth, always have music in my head, compulsively sing along to songs I know, get tongue tied because I'm trying to explain 15 things at once, I do math problems in my head, the list goes on. Even here in a comments section its hard for me to fiogure out what I want to write because I 'll have 12 different things to say that don't tie in together, so I have to consider what is more important to me...1 of the 5 witty comments I thought of, or maybe comment on the mistake the person made that I feel compelled to clarify...maybe I should ignore the mistake and comment on the topic of discussion, or at least the thing he said at 2:53 seconds on...maybe that's what I should comment on. It's truly never ending. Then I reread and have to edit what I wrote if I think of a caveat I di dn't consider or whatever.
