I'm the guy that rode many two wheelers for years.i have no health issues no back problems.no issues at all I think it's just a beautiful bike I haven't seen anything like it anywhere.Its the new trike to me up to date model I'm kind of tired of the old just outdated trikes..its much safer for the wife to drive and learn .and more stable with the two wheels on the front .you can lean if you want to but it's not going to change the way the Can-Am drives.I can enjoy my stereo or the music I like without the bike being as loud as my music.(Harley)I can turn corners or do deep curves without my muffler or kickstand catching the road .now the Goldwing are nice trike just as the Harley.but the one wheel is a safety issue for me.(remember they did outlawed the ATV 3 wheelers years ago) now Goldwing do have a reverse trike they make .but I just like the up to date look on the Can-Am RT LIMITED.its just a choice of what a person like I'm not dogging anyone I'm just telling what works for me and the wife.and will ride with other three wheelers I just enjoy all the bikes riding together in the country side or hiways.i think it looks really cool.and it really isn't that much of a different feel.you just use less body parts to stop and go on the Can-Am Spyder RT LIMITED.i make sure I call it what it is because the Rykers and other Can-Am are the sports version and it's a totally different bike.it kinda like the Honda sports bike and the trike touring.no comparison to each other.

It is very comfortable and fun to ride, even riding two up. I could see myself having a Goldwing and a Spyder, riding together you and your wife will love the Can Am.

I've owned a 2002 GL1800. I test drove a Can-Am Spyder RT-LTD on 9/14/16. To be honest, I felt way more comfortable on the Spyder. I put 35,000 on my Goldwing and because I'm only 5'6" I struggled at every stop sign especially two-up. The Goldwing was sold for financial reasons but my next bike will be a Spyder.
I really like the Spyder. I would have to have the RT model for me and the wife for touring. Its a tough choice between the Spyder and the Goldwing Trike. I like both. I'm 66 yrs old now and my balance isn't what it used to be so the Spyder or GW Trike would be perfect for us. This was a good video.
Thanks for the video Chris. I did a demo on a Spyder about 2 years ago. Decent ride and power but price is just too much. Can't justify it. I'm riding a MP3 500 now which is a trike as well. I'm like you in that I love all motorcycles. Have fun and be safe out there.
I know you all think I'm a wimp, but I jusr went from Yamaha Majesty 400 to a 2012 Spyder RT Limited. I took it out on the Interstate highway for the first time. What a rush!! A bit scary, but I just need to get used to it. I had done some highway riding, but not on the freeway. Looking forward to more!!

I appreciate that Chris, I don't think I will either. I test rode the Can Am Spyder F-3S model, which is their cruiser type model, didn't get to ride the RT-LTD, but the RT is the bike i'm seriously considering, I like the red your brother has, but I want the black one.

I like that you don't have any bulky hardware or mics on the outside of your helmet, and that the audio is so clear from you as well as the other riders! What set up are you using? +WheelsNotHeels Thanks Wheels, a new Spyder RT Limited retails around 32K. In a curb its good to lean towards the turn, it a smooth easy to ride fun machine, I prefer the GW over the Spyder, but it's a fun trike to have.
+bob barretto Yes Bob, to shift gears on the Spyder you just press a button when you're ready to change gears, you don't have to even let off the throttle. When let off the throttle, it down shift automatically by itself. Their is a downshift button, but you really don't have to use it.
how is it as far as shifting? I have a 2016 RT Limited an the shifting is real rough. It is loud and jerky and feels like its falling through the floor until around 4th going into 5th it smooth's out. but getting into 1,2,3 and into 4th is a loud CLANK and jerk of the bike and rough shift
So how would you rate the comfort level between your wing and the spyder? Also, what's the MPG on the spyder? Curious if you have to fill up more often.
+Scat I rather ride a Goldwing, but the Spyder is nice too don't get me wrong, riding 3 wheels are not the same as two. I believe the MPG on both the same around 40mpg.
+parishm The Goldwing is the Flagship of motorcycles, a Spyder is not a motorcycle, 3 wheels is not the same ride as 2 wheels, but the Spyder is a very good ride.
It's not a motor cycle it's a motor tricycle. The main point of owning a motor cycle is so you can filter and not be stuck in traffic jams, so why would someone pay 32K to be stuck in traffic jams?

Ride whats best for you, just remember, it doesn't matter what you ride, as long as your riding.
+beebeer54 It has a motor and is a tricycle so it is a motorcycle simply meaning motorized cycle what it is not is a motorbike bike being short for bicycle. Not everyone lives in an area with heavy traffic and use whatever they have to enjoy the open road so if they like it then good for them. I prefer more traditional cycles myself.

I remember Shawn Smoak saying that even if you managed to get it sideways .. and you came off the can am technology would straighten itself out ...
The can am has does have traction control, I believe that a goldwing trike doesn't.

Chris the can am looks great. I didn't see a clutch... So shifting up or down is simply pushing the buttons?
