    Even though he put silicone over the screws, you should coat any bare metal from drilling with primer or some kind of rust inhibitor just to be safe.

      people like this are the reason i dont like to give ANYTHING in others hand to make. The lake of precision and dedication in their work makes me uncomfortable

    Mr. Dar,
    I saw a few different clips about installing the wing. I must tell you, you definitely know your work. Very professional.
    I will be doing this to my 1998 Mercedes e320.
    Thank you 🙏

      Car doesn’t need anything added, it’s red.
      It’s scientifically proven that having a red car makes you the fastest (hence why Dom always had his Mazda Red 🤫)

    Thanks for posting this video. I picked up a used carbon fiber pedestal mounted spoiler and it didn't come with a mounting template. I tried measuring about 10 times to figure out where to drill. I finally got on the net and found your video. It was great and explained everything very clearly. DAR didn't have the spoiler for my car (W204 Mercedes in a similar style to the one in your video, you only had the "rear lip spoiler"), but if I buy another car and need a wing, I'll check your website first! Thanks again for posting it.

    I would like to say that I bought one of your spoilers for my 2015 Chrysler 200 S. First I was glad to see that it was fiberglass not ABS plastic! Placed on the car to check the fit, and it was perfect!!!! I painted mine black, with matte clear. Looks perfect on a blue car, with black and dark grey accents...

    For anyone one who drilled holes incorrect, you can always fix it with paint filler. just know that sanding and re-painting can be a hard task

    Why must, you use a unibit, why can't you use a large enough bit for the bolt when you initially drill?

    • @wanebros.9292
      @wanebros.9292 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cause a unibit cuts a more clean precise hole than a drill bit. Drill bits can peel that metal like a can opener

    I have a question about the color.
    I need a white spoiler. But, I only see two options (painted and unpainted).
    Does the unpainted one comes white?
    Thanks !

    what about the water coming from the top of the trunkdoor? No need for silicone?

    • @johnf8991
      @johnf8991 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think there is a gasket lining the oval parts of the spoiler that press against the trunk creating a seal on the outside from water coming into the trunk. I think they need to be clarify that, if no gasket then you are right water can get into the trunk.

    You forgot a step... Scratch the hell out of the paint with the metal shavings. Covered or not, that's just seems careless. From the tape job, all the way down to the way he drilled the holes. Fast is sloppy, and sloppy work always shows up later after the bill has been paid and the labor warranty ends. They should emphasize on how to take your time drilling. It's a one shot deal. But whatever. What do I know?

    • @ACommenterOnYouTube
      @ACommenterOnYouTube 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wane Bros. as I said before, 5:05 was the worst part of the video ... Drilling that bit into the trunk without slipping cause we all know how smooth a painted surface is .. It's not wood or drywall
