I'm barely starting my Lawn care business and this is one of the coolest videos I've seen doing fall clean ups. I see hard work, team work and good vibes. Thats what its about! I think this is great. I wish I could have more people as a team!
McCormackLandandAuto I've been in the business for 30 years now and let me tell you it's not about the manpower it's about the equipment. The more efficient equipment you have the less guys you will need. Don't screw around with equipment even if you have to get a bank loan ,get the biggest the best you can get because one piece of good equipment can replace two or more people. In the spring we have a piece of equipment that thatches the lawn mows the grass and collects all the debris and dumps it in the dump trailer and it only takes one guy to operate that machine. We used to have a walk behind Thatcher, a lawn mower and a guy with a wheelbarrow raking up the wind rolls of dead thatch from the walk-behind Thatcher. After purchasing a zero turn lawn mower with a huge turbo vac collection system and a front-mount soft bristle lawn Thatcher I was able to eliminate two employees. In the fall we used to have two guys raking and tarping leaves but then I had a custom Leaf plow with hydraulic lift like a snow plow installed on our lawn mower and now it only takes one guy to move piles of leaves instead of two guys dragging a stupid tarp around. We used to have a small little 10 inch hose leaf vacuum but quickly I realized it wasn't fast enough so now we have a 16 inch wide hose leaf vacuum with hydraulic lift system for the hose and now I've cut our vacuum Time by 2/3 and because it sucks and chips the leaves up so fine we're able to get more lawns in one load before dumping. In the fall we used to have 9 people per fall clean up crew but now we only need 5 because of more efficient equipment
That certainly is a bunch of guys. I find it easy for someone to slack with so many guys. Every one has there own philosophy, but I want to be the best in my area, not just cheapest. I will only work with regular clients on fall cleanup due to time and weather constraints. I do like the Isuzu style trucks, looking to get more myself.

My 1 hustler 60in hyper drive with 37hp vanguard and one person on a back blower can match your productivity of your 6 or more employees and I can reduce the leaves into about 3or 4 garage can s eliminating the need for a vac truck. 🤫

Sir do your have a landscape company.... fluorescent vest are not required second of all what are you talking about with the blowers lol your dumb this video is super old I need to create a new one we use hurrican leaf blowers know and we have 2 municipal leaf vac that little wonder is a piece of junk we do over 500 leaf jobs in a few months and generate around 50,000 in revenue from leaf removal we have invested over 100,000 dollars in equipment for our leaf removal operation do you have any more dumb comments if you look up grass masters on face book you will see our company that you think should go out of business

We have a diesel engine running our vacuum and this German dude we have can suck leaves so fast that I've literally heard that diesel engine bog way down to the point I thought it was going to stall out !

That’s insane. Ten guys, plus all that equipment, the vacuum truck, and what, two more trucks to carry all the people and the blowers? If you’re only charging $275 a yard with that overhead, you must be paying those guys peanuts and no benefits. You guys are basically criminals.
nice video, but you have 8 guys doing what I can do, just myself in not much longer of a time....with my scag cheetah 61" deck with a triple bagger system, with a 34hp kohler motor and gator g6 blades, and my real stand on hurricane 314 that pushes 5000cfm combined with my b600 back pack can move that amount of leaves faster then that, and I have a jrco leaf plow which is 60" wide and a jrco tine rake which is also 60" wide which with all that combined will clean the lawn much more throughly.
96stoker818 usually on Sundays I personally go out with one of my guys that's in need of extra money and just him and I can do a 2 acre lawn in about 1 hour using the ferris with the turbo collection system and 1 BR 600 Backpack Blower and the walk behind Little Wonder blower. Just last Sunday myself and one of my guys were able to do 7 lawns in town in 10 hours and I'm not what you call a spring chicken either as I've been in the business for over 30 years and I find myself moving a little slower in my older age. Sometimes it's not all about the Manpower it's how you use the equipment and what equipment you have and using the proper equipment for each application Give a guy the right equipment and plenty of caffeine and he can do anything ....lol.

Fifty homes a day means a home every 12 minutes on a 10 hour day. Very doubtful. Seems very, very top heavy, and I don't get the economics.

lol we don't do 50 a day but we do do 20 a day we do more leaf jobs in a week then most companies do in a whole season
