- West County Landscaping crew removes a very large pile of leaves from three homes in Manchester. This pile is about 50 feet long 6 feet wide and 4 feet tall.
West County Landscaping offers curbside leaf removal as shown here and also full service leaf clean up and removal.

I was looking for a lightweight blower for my deck. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxgioZQl3J5wPGAeDINzbieKbT5qomSEx3 There are some huge trees around my house and the leaves and pods drop all over my deck. Having to move furniture around to sweep has become too big a chore. This blower was the answer. It is light enough for this 70yr old lady and powerful enough to blow all the tree droppings off my rather large deck. Thank you B&D. Be aware the cord is not included. I use a 3 prong outdoor cord 25' cord for my 12' x 20' deck. The cord retainer works very well, but don't try to pass the plug through it. That is NOT how it works. You just have to loop the cord and it works great. One of my best purchases. Very happy.

Years ago, while driving to work one morning, I passed a property with a couple of HUGE piles of leaves.......huge oak and maple trees ........ leaf piles were each a story high and very large circumference......one my way home for lunch someone was out side the house taking notes and on the phone.........while driving back to work there were a couple of large "dump truck" looking trucks with tarps across the tops with these "things" hooked to the back. I pulled over, out of nosiness, to see what would happen next. Out came the large diameter "hoses" and they fired up the motors. I called my super and told him that "something came up while at home" and I took personal time for the afternoon so I could sit and watch the vacuuming of the leaves. It was so fun to watch those piles go down to nothing in a very short time, and the was pleased to see that they methodically vacuumed the entire property all the way around the house. Yeah, some more leaves came down (the last for the season) in the following 2 weeks, but those the property owner bagged and or shredded for on side mulching. The vacuuming was so fun to watch. When I got back to work the next day, my super if everything worked out ok, I said yes, it was just a big mess that had to be cleaned up.

Agreed. The truck driver should have been closer to the pile. We use this video as part of our training program to ensure our truck drivers know exactly what will allow for most efficient collection of the leaf pile.

Not to be argumentative but to politely disagree I feel like the driver did the right thing because if he was driving in right through the pile half of it would’ve been under the truck and they would of had to backtrack to get that other half guy swinging the hose could of had a rake and or shovel present to reach the other side of pile my honestly opinion right there

Yes, composted leaves turn into black gold for/in the garden. I mulch leaves by putting my line trimmer in a trash can, pile in the leaves, then I put on a lid modified with a notch for the handle of the trimmer, pull the trigger and slowly lift the trimmer. It kinda works like a blender. Then I dump 3 in of mulched leaves in the garden bed. By spring they have decomposed down to a nice rich black loamy layer full of white threads of Mycelium. Like I said. black gold for the garden.
Some people have trouble backing up a trailer, he backs it just fine, but he's got the forwards part a little mixed up, great video though
Down in the country we uses the leaves for gardens.we usually take a tractor,disc the soil, leaves,it helps hold moist in the ground

Instead of having a circular tube vacuum, I think it would be beneficial should the crews use the vacuum tube but with a wide-rectangular attachment on the front.

I am super impressed. I was recently in Spokane WA and watched guys using trash cans to then dump in a pick up bed. And thought there must be a better way. How does it perform when the leaves are wet?

The guy in the truck has the easy job but maybe doesn't drive too well. I had a service like this last year but their hose kept getting clogged at the back end. That service wasn't cheap either ... minimum $140 for 3 guys working up to one hour. Luckily, they got done in less than one hour.

You guys need a tow hitch on the front of your truck, itll make manoeuvring that trailer around much easier and the driver will see a lot more too!

We are able to quickly clear the majority of the piles. Cul-de-sac streets can be difficult as seen in the video. Where necessary we are able to quickly rake the leaves to within reach of the vac hose.

RedMax blowers are excellent!! I don't like Stihl.
Termite159 Well each to their own taste... I have personally never tried Redmax stuff but it looks good. I do like my Stihl blower and trimmer though, they are both in the "residential" category but work like they are professional tools

I want one or 2 for my company to take over a 600 house manufactured community next spring here in Illinois. The current company just didn't get it all done, its december 17 2019 and there are still leaves all over the place.

did you blow the leaves into piles and suck them up or just show up and remove piles? $40 is rediculously cheap. that trailer and leaf loader are very expensive. To pay for gas employees and depreciation of equiptment and pay to dump them somewhere... how are you making enough money per day to even stay afloat?

Did you actually read the charges for the service? It's $5.00 a minute with an minimum charge of $40. which is 8 minutes. They are charging $300. per hour. Duh.............

II have the same machine. The key is to do it when the leafs are dry. When wet whole different story.

Possibly back the trailer in for cul de sacs you'll get much closure to the pile. Just my observation that or jack knife the trailer into piles.
