Because crunches aren’t as good as these exercises for building actual core strength. Do core exercises that stabilize ur back like planks, leg raises and walking wth heavy weights

@@syc6771 your core is used for stability and rotating. Plank doesn’t train either of these. I still like doing planks cause it’s enjoyable but it won’t improve your sports performance.
