She has expressed herself that she's not exactly innocent but she just doesn't know the terms in English. So it's likely a mix of her actually having a vague understanding but not knowing the English word or being completely complicit and just fucking with people. I don't blame her, it's peak content. In this case I'm pretty sure she knows exactly what she's doing.

For anyone curious: the exact equivalent Japanese term for "pillow princess" is "maguro". Maguro means "tuna", and the term means she just lays there in bed like a fish on a cutting board.

@@OatmealTheCrazy The only real difference is the values. A pillow princess is seen as a pain in the ass because she doesn't do anything and expects her partner to make it good for her. A maguro is seen as a treasure because she doesn't make it difficult for her man.

Generally she's been successful, since it serves as a nice foil to the rest of VShojo who are in one broad stroke the opposite of seiso.
Some parts she doesn't get but others, she's just rousing them up once she gets it. I wouldn't be surprised about her not knowing the actual term but as soon as she starts talking about family, you know that's just called content lol.

That means something else where I'm from. In Pittsburgh, a dead fish is slang for someone who can't get aroused, usually men with ED.
It’s actually not quite the same. Traditionally, a “pillow princess” was used to describe a girl who received, but who never returned the favor. I.E. her sexual role was only to be pampered. It was more commonly a term used in lesbian pairings than in the general vernacular.

She probably does not only for content, but also so that it is completely indistinguishable for when she genuinely has trouble. For me and using Spanish(English is my first and only fully fluent language), I find that just rushing through and slurring my speech slightly makes all verb conjugation a breeze(and you better not correct me, and only ask for clarification if you really need it).

I know she MUST have understood much earlier than that. She can't possibly be that innocent. What I can't figure out WHEN she realized. She is so good controlling her model I have absolutely no idea when she's acting.
If we take all the "conversations" Henya had and assume she's honest, she is good at English except when it's about slang terms.
It is primarily the ESL speaking. Slang is difficult to grasp for many of them and while Henya might be aware of what the term would be in Japanese, skirting around the subject in English usually ends up with this situation. Another Vtuber with this issue is Tenma from Phase Connect who had a similar situation a bit ago with dirty jokes.
Some of these times I buy it, but there is no way Henya was this dense

She does probably have a lot of these moments where she at least initially doesn't understand, as she is ESL(English second language), but a decent amount of times, I imagine she plays it out a bit longer both for content and possibly because she is embarrassed or slightly nervous to try to just guess and go with it, especially when it is inappropriate. She is still fairly sheltered and innocent though, unless that is all acting and just a part of her character, which would be impressive.
