At one point when it was particularly plugged I was tuning my guitar and it just wasn’t working, I couldn’t hit the right notes no matter what I did. I cannot describe to you the dread you feel in that moment of something you rely on being taken away. Fixed itself the next day but man it’s awful

Having an ear infection is knowing in general. I hope she has eardrops for that. (Also, hope doesn't have impacted wax either. I've never has that, but watch videos featuring people who have where they have too much wax. Sometimes it's more than what you expect. It's worst when it's really dry and hard.)
From what she describes it sounds like, if ironmouse used both headphones, she would hear everything and everyone as dissonant. Which would definitely be nauseating

Being hafu is really hard in some places, especially traditional or ultra-nationalist countries or cities. I actually changed two schools when I was younger because I was getting bullied, even transferred overseas where my uncle and my mother side lives, however result was the same and it even got physical at some point.
Long story short, I'm a bona fide introvert, work in home office and even I have free holiday in multiple occasions I prefer to stay in home and read or game something I like.
I am basically Native American/Irish and while i got the native hair I’m like see through pale and can’t tan. So when i see native family i get shit talked a lot for being White when even legally I’m Native.

I can understand that. I am 1/8th native and I just have the eyes. My brother on the other hand has really tan skin. My grandma was half and raised me so I have a connection to my tribes culture.

Honestly, it's mostly a result of how we're raised. When you grow up mixed, you mainly hear 2 messages about race: 1) "You are weird and misshapen and you don't fit in" and 2) "You are a super-wonderful little genetic yin-yang who is so much more special than everyone else". Hearing "you're just a person like everyone else" is pretty rare. A lot of people will end up as insufferable narcissists under those conditions.

Ironmouse and Henya are pure gremolin cuteness. Also my heart bleeds for Henya for being bullied just because she is half-japanese. I have a niece and nephew (they are my first cousin's kids but I call them my niece and nephew) and they are indian and british half-and-half and I love them dearly. Also I personally do not understand japan not liking more diversity as I feel more variety makes everything more unique and interesting. If everything is the same it may lead to stagnation after a period of time.
There's nothing wrong with wanting your people and culture to survive.

Hugs for the Puerto Ricans who've struggled with their accents. My while family is from the South, and whether it's a Southern accent or AAVE, it can be tough.
On accents/dialects- The American Southern accent is so pleasant to listen to, but it’s very strongly associated with the Dumb Hick stereotype. I live in a part of the US where that twangy way of speaking is pretty normal, but to listen to tv shows and movies you’d think everyone with a drawl was a complete moron. Or a cowboy.

From the little I know about audio and ears, Double hearing is probably because there's blockage on the eardrum, which causes it to vibrate at a different frequency from the actual audio waves hitting it. It's similar to how a guitarist gets natural harmonics from a string by placing a finger on a string. the finger is the blockage, and the eardrum is the string.
This whole exchange gave me diabetes with how sweet it is and then cured it with how wholesome it is.

I pierced my eardrum once, it's very similar, sound just processes differently in that ear so you get stereo sound but it's like one receiver is processing everything at a lower pitch/tone.

I experienced the same as Mouse, but in my case it wasn't from ear infection, I was simply young and dumb and I was standing next to a big speaker for a whole concert :D
I made that mistake once, too. Took me days to get my hearing back to normal levels. However, due to years of being a colossal fool and not listen to the warnings, I now have a ringing in my ear that will never go away. Pretty sure my hearing has deteriorated, too.

He is not fully accepted either. I don't know how Australian people see him, but many Japanese people tend to see him as a foreigner. Not conforming to Japanese norms for looks doesn't help either.
