Might be even better if you position the bottle tip closer to the soil so the drops hit the ground directly instead of splashing on the leaves. Reduce evaporation.
I have my doubts on this. It never shows the whole bottle, or the bottle full of water, how to adjust the speed. Also, if the bottle has a big opening the atmospheric pressure takes over and increases the speed of the dripping dramatically.
Pressing the nail through the hole made with the thumbtack will slow down the draining speed. Conversely, if you drill a hole once more with a thumbtack, the water supply speed will increase.
Best thing to do in that case is to use an Olla (pronounced Oy-ya), which should last you about a week if you water the plant just before you leave. It's an ancient technique from Africa and brilliant for water conservation. They're very easy to make and work brilliantly, you can find tutorials on here.
Best concept is using an Olla, which is fantastic for water conservation and only requires a top up every 5-7 days. Relatively inexpensive and easy to make, and will last you years.

and reduce potential for disease from the constantly wet leaves.
Super idea it's working. I'm having 23 planters and I tested on 1. Thanks for sharing this helpful video sir.
Wah, sangat simpel dari yang pernah saya lihat sebelumnya..... keren Mas.... Tx
Bravo super Perfekt, vielen Dank für die Tolle Idee. 👏🏻👌🏻🌹🙋♀️
Cotton swabs can adjust the speed of dripping.
Just bury the jawn half way in the soil next to the plant
thx! it took me for a while before i found the exact info i was looking for in this video 😊
Nice...
just made some for my moss poles thank you!

The bottom of bottle is opened as on this video. But drip duration is 4 or 5 hours
it stop dripping after awhile how can you solve it?
By making hole on the bottom of the bottle when it's upside down 😊
I had this same problem.. it slow dripped for an hour or so and then just stopped
When you make small hole on the upper portion then the air flow and the water is dripping too fast
Good work. New Subscriber
Thanks for the sub!
You didn’t show how you hung it from the zip tie
dropping big bass bro
How long until it empty’s 🤷✌️👍🇨🇦
Depends on the speed - can take up to 5hrs
Isn't the hole at the bottom work? Why put a hole in the cap?
Need to let air in from the top. Otherwise it will create a vacuum on top which 'pull' the water in, prevent it from dripping.
Super.
How to adjust drip speed?

How long did this bottle lasts? I'm going to be away for about a week lol
If you are gone a week who will fill the bottle ?

I couldn't see hiw to adjust dripping speed
If you press your fingernail through a small hole in the bottle cap, water droplets slowly flow down.
the more water the faster the drip
Capilarity comcept is better and easier
Would you please elaborate?
It's unreliable..once the capillary dries..it has to be manually recharged by wetting the channel

Just blocks up
how to water torture your plants
Wayyyyyyy too long. Next…
