I had this same problem.. it slow dripped for an hour or so and then just stopped

When you make small hole on the upper portion then the air flow and the water is dripping too fast

Best thing to do in that case is to use an Olla (pronounced Oy-ya), which should last you about a week if you water the plant just before you leave. It's an ancient technique from Africa and brilliant for water conservation. They're very easy to make and work brilliantly, you can find tutorials on here.

The bottom of bottle is opened as on this video. But drip duration is 4 or 5 hours

It's unreliable..once the capillary dries..it has to be manually recharged by wetting the channel

Correct. He was exploiting it's terrible situation first FOR 42 secs, count that out & he was a couple of feet away. This type of thing is going on a lot I find, yes do 5 secs if you must then give it aid but 42 secs, terrible.

​@@Angry-Owl-TV I do worry if that's the way you go about rescuing creatures. 42 secs & it's still nearly drowning trying to get itself out but can't. You need to have a think on what you are doing. 42+ secs. Awful.
