Story 2: yeah, marrying her seems like a TERRIBLE idea. Boundary stomping to this level, followed by an attempt to brush off assault. Her not seeing how bad it was in the dark is irrelevant. She is delusional, and this sort of thing WILL happen again. It’s just a matter of time.

    Story 3:
Man, this has to be one of the only times I can say someone (specifically a mistress) was genuinely remorseful about an affair.
However, the damage is already done. Their mom isn’t coming back and unfortunately, this is going to be trauma these children have to live with for the rest of their lives.
I’m glad the stepmom left not just out of guilt but while thinking of the children’s healing process. It’d be much harder to cope with the constant reminder of dad’s affair in their face, trying to move on like nothing happened.
The dad is honestly the worst. Not only did he cheat but instead of giving everyone time to adjust, he springs the idea of marrying his affair partner so soon. It wouldn’t be fair to blame him for her suicide but his betrayal and selfishness clearly played a major factor in her decision. I hope he’ll never treat anyone else like he treated to their mom.

When someone truly has the mental and emotional health and maturity to love, they don't want to risk their physical health, self-respect, or the dignity of their partner by allowing them to get plowed by another man while they plow another woman.
There's a lack of love and respect to need other people to keep you satisfied.

Why would the boss in the second story take such hard measures on the girl over someone else making a ruckus at work? It genuinely is not her fault even if they were in a relationship, its not like she made him do that.

Story 2 - OP's a sucker get rid of Clara, she's just another user, no body seems to make open relationships last in the long run, get into a relationship with someone who puts you first. Open relationships are really just FWB it's not a committed relationship. Stop being a sucker.

Story 2. Girlfriend brought this on herself. She was trying to have her cake and eat it too. She was using Op for her lifestyle. She should have been honest with Gary as well. Telling him she loved him was a mistake. Gary doesn't want to share. This mess is a trainwreck. These idiots deserve each other.

    Story #1
I wish OP and his fiancée happiness together, away from his ghoulish blood relatives. They valued money more than his life.
    Story #2
OP is too good for Clara. She doesn’t deserve a partner like him.
    Story #3
If I was OP, I would have disowned the father over this and legally changed my surname to the late mother’s maiden name. “From this day, we are no longer family. I won’t have anything to do with you or go to your funeral when you die. I hope your wh@re is worth losing your child over.” I would have told the mistress that every day she stays with my father disproves all claim of remorse, because it’s her trying to have her cake and eat it too.
If OP reconciles with his father then it’ll be a betrayal of his mother’s memory.

Story 3: The fact that this man and his mistress showed up at the funeral is insane.
