Scott is like Batman or Captain America, he has to be able to reliably do those incredible dodges or he would be cooked whenever he faces big hitters.
And that's why Superman, despite his super speed, reflexes, awareness etc gets hit hard pretty much all the time, because he can tank almost everything and it looks nice, most of the time.
I know they're completely different universes. But I can't be the only one who wishes. The X men would meet the Justice League and I'm talking to DC. AU versions God that would be exciting. Although technically with Gladiator you can't have already get that. Oh I wish he was around more. I can't wait for season 2 as they used to sayil. The Power Rangers back in the day, back to action!
Scott does have a limited enhanced strength, that's the reason why his neck doesn't straight up broke in half when he uses his optic blast in full force
Mutants still get peak human enhancements, so they are normally stronger than normal humans, faster, with agility, etc. it’s what I like about the Deadpool movies. They aren’t super strong, but def way stronger than a normal person.
It’s nice seeing Cyclops have actual choreography coupled with his optic blasts rather than just standing on the spot lol

I know right?! Usually she gets knocked out by a stray blast of energy within the first few seconds. Here she slices off Bastion's wings using the move she learned from Abscissa earlier in the season. Then uses the force from her fireworks to augment her throwing strength. I really want her to learn how to fly using a cloud of plasmoids next 🎉🎉🎉

in the 616 version.. she's the strongest non-reality bending X-men, now, turns out her "Fireworks" were Nuclear fission and reactions, that she sub-consciously weakens greatly, her full power is enough to cause continent sized nuclear explosions, taht she is immune from.
Based on how Jubilee was treated by Bastion in the Operation Zero Tolerance's comic, seeing Jubilee has some ultimate skill that can cut off Bastion's wings and manages to lay down the final blow to the face of Bastion is something I've been waiting for. I love you Beau DeMayo!!!

Yeah agreed. But I still liked that they did offer bastion kindness. What made bastion interesting to me was objectively he had no choice in what he was, he was forcibly altered from birth by two AI robots that were constantly in his head and forcing him to have this mentality so you can’t really say who was truly bastion. But in the end he was too far gone and he chose to die rather than grab their hand.
Again like you say not all villains need to be redeemed and sometimes a tragic villain is TRAGIC because you could have seen them changing but in the end they didn’t. But even if they did try to redeem/help bastion I would have been ok with it because unlike other redeemed villains who boil down to “I had a sad backstory/bad things happened to me so any bad actions I did are justified/excused”, you could make the argument bastion truly didn’t have control on who he was/wasn’t who he truly was which could make for interesting stories. Still turned out great regardless
I like how they showed Jubilee doing some serious damage to Bastion around the 3:00 mark, turning him into Harvey Dent/Two Face! I don't remember her being the most useful character in the original cartoon other than taking out a handful of sentinels so it's cool that they got to demonstrate how powerful her abilities really can be here.

The Blue Area of the Moon has many ruins from before Attilan was there. The Kree built it and the Watcher lives there. It is important to the X-Men comics as it is where Jean and the X-Men fight the Shi'ar Imperial Guard before she dies after the Dark Phoenix saga.

- Jean dealt with sinister
- Jean got the device from beast and Forge to destroy Bastion’s control on the prime sentinels (which saved the world btw since they were gonna kill everyone on earth)
- And then ultimately Jean and Storm are the main carriers of asteroid M from falling, Jean also protected them from the destruction
One thing I love about X-men 97 is…. They won’t let Logan become the most famous X-Man Everybody gotten upgraded besides him pretty much story telling & Action

FINALLY. EVERY other X-Men production, save the 1992 animated series, devolved into "The Wolverine Show." I get that the guy's popular, but they were seriously pissing off the rest of the franchise's fans. Part3 of the original movie trilogy was particularly stupid: "Wolverine defeats Dark Phoenix!"

The complete and utter RESPECT they put on Cyclops this season!! I was already hype after his epic episode 1 landing entrance, but his primal optic blast scene at 2:23 made me instant flashback to when he "Opened his eyes wide" on mr. Sinister from the X-Factor run, when he was saving baby Nathan. Just such an iconic Cyke scene, I see what you did there X-men 97' !! lol, right on.

This show was amazing, but one of the lots of things I liked is that it finally made me like Jubilee. Her episode and her over all this season was pretty good and I finally like her, which I didn’t before, she annoyed me and I thought her powers were useless, which I now know they aren’t, and she’s cool

They confirmed that it was intentional. They did it a few times with Cyke and Rogue.
I love that the show really gave Cyclops, Jubilee and Morph the time to shine. In general it feels like everyone got a level up. Jubilee cut off one of Bastion's wings and burned his face. I liked her in the original show but she was usually taken out easily. Here she got the bossfight Mojo made her train for. Morph is not only a fun cameo machine but makes really good use of their morphing power. Cyclops proved himself to be a good leader and the writers found some good ways to show off the usefulness of his optic blasts. Magneto's "Enough" and Storm's "Forecast" felt like they finally stopped holding back.

I always thought Invincible would be awesome if it’s fights took inspiration from anime, X-Men 97 successfully found that balance

Cyclops going into overdrive to overtake Bastion was badass and this line “YOULL NEVER HURT MY FAMILY AGAIN” all that emotion allowed him to go even further than he probably thought he could.
