@@dirtdauberadventures i came really close to buying a 109, then saw an Intech Luna Rover. Sold!! Haha. Enjoy your adventures. That's what it's all about.
Sunray looks like a nice little trailer. Wish Sunsetter would just move the spare during their manufacturing process. Since I'm interested in getting a Sunray I've been watch a lot of youtube video's to learn more. A lot of guys are moving the spare to the left rear area. Another guy move the battery to the rear bottom cabinet (ran wirring back to it) and then moved the propane tank backward into a small cargo box. Then with your jack change the tongue are is free and clear to open the tailgate.
Yeah, especially with a Jeep and trying to open up the rear hatches with the tire in that spot. It is a hassle. We have made some upgrades and mods and will continue to do some more. Thanks for watching.
Get a heavy duty extension for your hitch I run one on my bronco and I run my set up hard off road and it held up great don’t buy a cheap one get a good solid extension I don’t remember the exact length of mine but I can articulate now and jack knife it and plenty of room with a spare tire I also ran that on my jeep which would be similar to you, my tailgate would open about 80% and the only thing in the way was the propane tank then it would open all the way no problem
Love those shots of driving on the trail. Lovely leaves!
Thank you for watching 😁

@@dirtdauberadventures How is the spare mounted on the roof ? Just inside the carrier you have up there ? Thanks, nice upgrades !!!

Just bought a sunray 109 myself and I'm either going to get the ARB awning with room or the OVS 270 with walls. You still happy with yours?
Yes, great investment. Privacy and windbreak are great.
What are some things ur wife might want to do as an upgrade to the Sunray?
Get rid of the Jeep and get a real tow vehicle.
