I own both. Diesel versions. I love the gladiator. I like the Wrangler. The Wrangler is a better off roader. From your videos Gladiator will be perfect.

I'm sorry dude, that sucks. As far as what to get I've wheeled both a JKU and a Gladiator. Yes, the Gladiator does make some trails a little tighter but I love my Gladiator, and yes get the Rubicon. I also recommend getting a Tazer, you can disconnect the sway bar in 2H and run it at any speed. The Tazer also lets you lock the differentials anytime you want.

Having had both a Mojave Gladiator and a JLU Rubicon here in Arkansas, I would recommend the Rubi over the Gladiator The trails around are predominantly run and cut by 4 door jeeps, the Gladiator is just enough longer to be a PIA You will be thrilled with the difference between the JL and the JK, get a Rubicon you won’t regret it My last Jeep was a 21 JLU Rubicon, with the 2 l turbo, I was able to run 37’s without regearing and it pulled my SunRay 109 easily I did a 2.5 inch lift with fender delete, ran Method bead grips with a negative 6 offset, and 37 inch Patagonias, wonderful setup

Also I tow my Sunray 109 with my Gladiator

P..S. get either the Mojave with the tow package or the Sport with the Max tow package

I'm very familiar with this area, I usually air down my Jeep tires where you guys first setup at the start of the video, that area is super high traffic so probably not an ideal camp site. Look into the Claymore camp fan, it will last all night and is extremely portable.

Get a heavy duty extension for your hitch I run one on my bronco and I run my set up hard off road and it held up great don’t buy a cheap one get a good solid extension I don’t remember the exact length of mine but I can articulate now and jack knife it and plenty of room with a spare tire I also ran that on my jeep which would be similar to you, my tailgate would open about 80% and the only thing in the way was the propane tank then it would open all the way no problem

Born n raised in Rector but moved to CA in '61. Love the little town and go back when I can. Miss all the kin (Sheltons, Cavanesses), The Labor Day Picnic . . . wow. What a breath of fresh air.
