About 40 years ago I bought a Senator Calligraphy set which included the pen, and extensor and three italic nibs. I use the pen and the fine nib to this day. It is my holy grail pen combo. Excellent construction. easy to maintain and writes beautifully! I thought that Senator pens (except for those ballpoint pens that you mention here) had disappeared. thank you for reviewing this President pen!
Sorry for the late reply... It is amazing to know other people like and use the Senator President. Indeed they only make those ballpoint pens. I don't think the president is around anymore. Just in the hands of users who love them.
Thanks for your comment. Very happy to read it!
Elegant in an understated way.
It is. But it has less rings than the Montblanc Meisterstück 149 and that makes it a little less elegant in comparison, in my opinion.
Excellent, Paulo - that's a delicious writing instrument; if memory serves, your model was manufactured in the mid 1980's, but may have initially been produced as early as the 1960's. Your example is absolutely pristine, my friend - what's not to like ? I hope you & yours are keeping well - I know it's been quite a while since I last posted a comment to you, but work has prevailed...stay safe,
Best,
Andrew :)
In my opinion, a crossover with The pen collector could be AWESOME!
That would be epic! Maybe Waskisquirrel as well
I agree... Any ideas on how to do it? 😁
WaskiSquirrel would be amazing!
@@OdE-ObjectosdeEscrita maybe a pen exchange or a review of the same pen...
You knew this pen would pull me in! This is a great pen. And I like your words about Senator. They used to make some very good fountain pens.
Now I'll have to ink mine up for next week.
Thank you. I hope you enjoyed the video. Senator is quite a good brand. If I could ask for a Senator wish would be: a list of the model names/numbers. This one has a name, but many others don't. And they become nameless forever or some reviewers on TH-cam make up a name for them... 😀😉
@@OdE-ObjectosdeEscrita Yes...I'm guilty of making up names! "Cracked Blind Cap" and "Silver Fox" are just two of mine!
@@WaskiSquirrel I like that. It makes sense to namewhat we like/enjoy!
A very impressive pen in the same mould as a 149 Mont Blanc.
Yes, it is the less expensive equivalent, still being a piston-filler.
Can we fill ink in this pen
Somehow the shape doesn't quite have the beauty of the Montblanc, in my opinion.
That is true. Montblanc is more elegant. There will be a Versus video soon about the Senator President and the Montblanc Meisterstück 149.
