When bratty 8-year-old Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) acts out the night before a family trip to Paris, his mother (Catherine O'Hara) makes him sleep in the attic. After the McCallisters mistakenly leave for the airport without Kevin, he awakens to an empty house and assumes his wish to have no family has come true. But his excitement sours when he realizes that two con men (Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern) plan to rob the McCallister residence, and that he alone must protect the family home.

I’m glad you decided to do home alone 2 this year, because it was released in 1992 as a 30th anniversary this year.
I can’t wait to see home alone 2 lost in New York soon

Can you react to Home Alone The Holiday Heist✨!
React to Scrooge:A Christmas Carol it's a new movie on Netflix and it's really good 👍🤩🤩😊😊
Fun Fact: The scene where Harry and Marv almost hit Kevin with their van was actually done in reverse. They didn't want to endanger the actor so for the scene, they had him scream before the van reversed away from him. Then they just played the footage in reverse to make it look like they almost hit him.
Thats actually cool
Thats very good to hear. It wasnt on my mind but it does bring up production risk to my mind
In a video ut pointed that out
Once you know that, it's pretty obvious. Kevin's scarf seems to be drawn to the grill of the van, which makes sense if they were backing away, but not so much if they were moving toward him.
A few facts for the film:
The reason that they didn’t realize Kevin was missing was because of the miscount at the van. his passport was thrown away with everything else, and he ended up on the third floor.
John Candy completely improvised the story of leaving the kid in the funeral parlor,
The nail was rubber and Marv was wearing rubber shoes that looked like feet.
The ornaments were sugar,
The house is a few miles down the road from the one used for the film Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.
If you slow down the film when Old Man Marley hits Marv you will see it is actually a young man stand in to do it properly,
The studio was going to just use the original recording by Mel Tormé singing “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”, but he asked if he could come in a re-record it and he did,
Don’t know if you noticed, but the editor was Raja Gosnell who would go onto do awful films.
Raja Gosnell’s Scooby-Doo movies weren’t bad. I liked them.
That unnamed neighbor kid is one of the most consequential minor characters in film history.
I know the thugs getting hurt is fake but man it’s makes me cringe so much 😂 Ugh the nail and ornaments
Man I miss John Candy.
Oh thank goodness!! The nail scene always freaked me out 😭
Fun Fact: Macaulay Culkin is a dad now.
Also, the movie passed 30+ years which is just amazing. It’s indeed classic cinema.
He and Brenda Song has a child???
Yes they did a little boy
Yep. I'm old now.
I first thought your comment said "Macaulay Culkin is dead now" and was about to be shocked, lol.
Fun fact: In Poland there is such a tradition that every year at Christmas Home Alone is shown on television. One year they didn't air it and there were a lot of complaints 😅 since then' Kevin is home alone' because that's the Polish translation is our Christmas tradition. I love this movie a lot. It's so much fun. Greetings from Poland🥰
Same in Lithuania! I grew up watching it with my family every year and was so excited even when I had seen it like 10 times
Pretty much the same in Indonesia
Cool transition in Poland and Lithuania
The way Kevin was treated by his entire family was horrible. I’m sorry idc what my kid did but if anyone talks to them the way the uncle did they’d be catching these hands 😤
This movie is a freaking masterpiece! Kevin and his traps will forever be icons of the Holiday season. Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals.
And a Happy New Year!
Love the funny theory that he grew up, got cancer, and decided to put people in life or death traps as his new moniker “jigsaw”
@@crimsonknight7011I like the old man theory that he is actually an angel
I still remember the Honest Trailer for this movie “watch as a child traps two incompetent criminals in a sadistic house of torture” and “Home Alone, a movie that’s one part heartwarming Christmas story and one part Saw”
Home Alone 2: Lost in New York is basically a scene-for-scene remake of the first. Evidence? Have a look:
*Animosity towards Kevin in the beginning spawns from a situation in which Kevin was actually the victim: Pizza; pageant.
*Of course, several events lead to Kevin being separated from his family.
*Kevin enjoys his situation at first.
*He watches an old b&w Mafia movie, which traumatizes him.
*He meets a creepy stranger: Shovel man; pigeon lady.
*He's doing things kids his age really shouldn't know how to do.
*He fools someone into thinking there's a vicious, trigger happy adult present using the audio from the Mafia movie: pizza boy; concierge.
*He starts to get scared of being alone until he sees the creepy stranger isn't so bad.
*He uses the Mafia movie audio to fool a dynamic duo of criminals.
*He sets traps around a house to make a monkey out of the two criminals.
*The criminals get the upper hand and take him away to maim and murder him.
*Creepy stranger shows up and saves the day via: shovel bludgeoning; pigeon attack.
*Criminals get arrested.
*Kevin asks Santa for his family back.
*Mom arrives.
*Family reunion.
*Tender moment with creepy stranger.
*Kevin gets yelled at off screen: "What did you do to my room?!"; "YOU SPENT 927 DOLLARS ON ROOM SERVICE!"
Thanks for listening... Or reading.
12:02 Apparently, ‘Angels with Filthy Souls’ was made up but also it’s absolutely iconic. Very rarely do you get invested in and laugh your head off at Fictional Movies meant to be a Meta Noir Movie Parody.
Look for the old gangster in "Blues Brothers". (Excessive Violence against the Blues Brothers has been authorized)
Fun fact: Daniel stern, the guy that plays Marv, is scared of spiders, so when the spider is on his face, that's genuine fear.
Also he's not actually screaming, so as to not scare the spider. He mimed it, and recorded his scream later.
I heard the studio told him it was going to be a fake spider and they used a real one instead without telling him.
Not to mention, he actualy got bit by a spider when recording the scream. It was not a bite on the nose, but it was a real reaction to a real spider bite.
No that is his scream
@@firestrikerii810 no one's saying it's not. I'm saying he didn't scream until he was in the booth
Not only did she sense something was missing, I think she knew Kevin was missing because it was way too quiet on the plane🤣🤣
As someone who’s gone grocery shopping as a child, I really appreciate Kevin being diligent with the shopping. That’s peak adulting right there.
P.S. Thanks to this movie, I’ve always been scared of the shopping bag falling apart lol
I remember as a kid going to shopping and the shopping bags fall apart like these. That became my biggest shopping dear later on so when I saw this movie for the first time I related so much to Kevin 😂
That tarantula on Marv’s face makes my skin crawl every time!! One of the best movie screams in film history, alongside Fay Wray’s from a 1933 monster classic
And he's not actually screaming in the shot, they had to add the scream in later. He actually had a tarantula on his face, so he didn't want to scream during the shot so as not to scare the spider at all.
@@squeak2455 that’s true
@@squeak2455 yeah if there’s a tarantula on my face the last thing I’d wanna do is open my mouth 😅
We like tarantulas here in Arizona because they eat scorpions.
The fallout between Kevin and his mother over the dinner disaster is a perfect example of when people act out of frustration and anger without thinking straight and allowing those emotions to cloud their judgment.
Yea but he’s 8 years old. I would’ve done the same thing if I were 8 years old ☠️☠️ tbh
@@dreamstan1055 well yes I do agree with you on that but I was also referring to the mother. She was probably stressed out from dealing with her husband’s family members before she even got to Kevin
@@miraclecomicsThe movie makes a great buahuahua regarding "mother's love", if she truly loved her son, she should have ateast listened to his side of the story instead of blindly believing the "Kevin is bad" narrative set by the shitty family members. A kid losing his sense out of frustration is perfectly understandable but not an adult and especially a mother character who is glorified in the movie.
@@Hari-kx2er not everyone is perfect even adults. Both mom and dad are dealing with several relatives and from what I noticed the mom is the most stressed out. Yes she did mess up but that doesn’t mean she didn’t care about her child.
She was the first one who noticed Kevin was missing and she was doing everything she could to get back to Kevin so cut her a break.
Marv has the absolute best scream when the spider is placed on his face.
My favourite part of the movie 😂
Harry and Marv falling for Kevin’s traps are the highlight of the movie.
It’s the highlight of the entire franchise…
Except for the last one
I mean...
OMG OMG OMG This is absolutely iconic! Not only was Macaulay Culkin brilliant but we don’t talk about Catherine O’Hara’s Comic Timing.
Catherine O’ Hara is also Sally in Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Fun Fact: the role of Harry was originally written for Danny DeVito
Clariss is an icon for saying “If I had that many kids, you’re all going in coach.”
“Why are you dressed like a chicken?” has to be one of the best out of the pocket lines out there. 😂
What a fantastically entertaining movie, not just for Christmas, but comedy in general! The concept is so simple and yet something that children fantasize about. Such a wholesome family movie especially for Christmas.
Angels with Filthy Souls (the movie Kevin watches) and it's sequel were filmed specially for the Home Alone films.
There’s a rumour that Joe Pesci was struggling not to swear on set when it came to his characters reaction to the traps. Joe then saw this goddaughter watching Wacky Races and this was the inspiration for his Muttley ranting
One fun fact that iconic moment in the movie is when Macaulay screamed in that bathroom with the aftershave that was not supposed to happen. It was an accident, but the Director kept it like that in the movie.
My mom's favorite scene is Marv screaming from the spider on his face, but she absolutely HATES the scene with the nail. So whenever we're at a family Christmas party and me and my cousins are watching the movie and the scene is on, I'll call for my mom in the other room and tell her that her favorite scene is coming up. She always walks in just in time to see the nail go in and she screams.
‘Home Alone’ really taught us people didn’t know how to deal with trauma and communicate with children.
I'm so glad y'all commented about how horrible Kevin's family is. Most people completely ignore that and think Kevin is horrible for saying he never wanted to see his family again. If my brother called my kid a little jerk the way Kevin's uncle did, I'd kick him out of my house.
Well, yeah, what Kevin said was horrible, but it came from a place of intense frustration living in a big family where most of the kids steal his attention. Even the little brother.
Funny thing about the tarantula scene: When explaining the scene, they told the actor they were going to use a replica prop, however, after thinking on it they decided to use the real thing. And they did not tell the actor. So that scream you heard was an actual scream of pure terror.
A little tidbit: Catherine O'Hara and John Candy are Canadians and were both on the Canadian TV Show Second City ... so they've been friends for a long time. Love the sequel too ... same idea, different city. Thanks from Canada.
Fun Fact: Chris Columbus direct Home Alone 1&2. The same man directed Harry Potter 1&2.
Not to mention Adventures in Babysitting / Only the Lonely (also featuring the Culkin Bros., and the late John Candy) / Mrs. Doubtfire / Nine Months / Stepmom / Bicentennial Man / Rent (based on the Broadway play) / I Love You, Beth Cooper / Percy Jackson & The Olympians - The Lightning Thief / Pixels!
He even managed to write Gremlins, Goonies & Christmas With the Kranks!
Also, John Williams made the music for both sequels
For all the people wondering why Joe Pesci speaks gibberish in bits and that’s because he can’t swear in a PG movie. Talk about an acting challenge. Then again, he surpasses that challenge and makes it hilarious.
I was surprised the subtitles didn't say "@#$^&*!?"
The amount of times I watched this as a kid is insane! This is an all time Christmas classic, the sequel is just as brilliant. John Williams went hard on this score and it's what makes the film so memorable as well. Macaulay Culkin was the face of our childhoods, plus Joe Pesci did this film and Goodfellas in the same year. This film held the record as the highest grossing comedy for many years, only one and two are the ones worth watching.
10:38 Timothée felt the being alone and having snacks to yourself on a spiritual and metaphysical level.
Facts
@@TimotheeReacts wait till y'all 2 love birds check out Home Alone 3 which has 4 baddies because 4 baddies means 4 times the laughs!
Kevin is a legend for keeping Uncle Frank at the end of the list of priorities. The latter is a D-Bag of the highest order.
Home Alone 1 & 2 never gets old!
Outstanding holiday movies you may not have reacted to with some notable celebrities staring - "This Christmas", "The holiday", "The Christmas Ghost" (a little mystery) & "The Last Holiday".
The black-and-white movie "Angels With Filthy Souls" is not a real movie, but it's inspired by one. The real one is "Angels With Dirty Faces" from 1938, which earned James Cagney his first career Oscar nomination. It also could be considered the breakout role for Humphrey Bogart.
7:00 There's been a lot of debate on what the parents do for a living, so let me clear it up:
The MOM is a fashion designer.
That's also why they have mannequins lying around the house.
Ohhhh, never knew (mainly cause I've never seen it)!
You're right about her job, but the job wasn't why they were going to Paris. Her brother lived in Paris while his kids were still attending school in the USA, and the trip was all his idea to get everyone together. The mom's brother (not the skinflint brother of the dad) was the one actually funding the trip.
Kevin is basically irl Dobby. He doesn’t kill he just maims or seriously injures 😂
I was introduced to Joe Pesci through this movie. Only later did I find out that he had been a part of classic cinema and swore a lot. He was a SWORE BRO 😂
I bet he was trying REALLY damn hard not to swear during the booby-trapped house scene, but couldn't or wouldn't because it was a kids movie...
Is Joe Pesci a clown? Is he here to amuse you?
@@stephanniemorin On set he did have a habit of swearing a lot, which concerned everyone including himself since there were so many kids around. He had a swear jar in which he donated a dollar for every time he accidentally swore; that is also why in the movie he would grumble incoherently whenever the character was angry as he was holding back on the adult cuss words.
I think he donated all the money he made in the swear jar, which was decently sized at the end of shooting.
@@SSgtJ0hns0nAh, okay. At least he knew when to pay up in the swear jar! I'm glad he donated the money
Does anyone know if his "I'll snap off your cojones and boil em in motor oil" line was scripted or improved? Now THAT sounds like Joes Pesci and hearing stuff like that makes me believe the rumors about him being involved with the mob in real life.
I love Home Alone, it has fantastic comedy, good emotional scenes and a great cast which all combine together to make a perfect Christmas movie!
Really loved the reaction Timothee and cannot wait for the reaction to Home Alone 2!
Me too.
Me three.
@@StephenLuke Me four.
Me five
18:20 to 18:25 - That scene was filmed in reverse to avoid any accidents. So the van started at the bottom of the driveway with Kevin screaming and then backed up the drive away from him. Then the footage was played in reverse during the movie.
May I recommend Cool Runnings starring John Candy. Based on a true story.
As a young kid, I never realized how deadly this movie was. Like, falling down icy stairs is already dangerous enough since you could break your neck/spine if you're unlucky but a falling iron to the face? A freaking blowtorch for 6-7 full seconds? Swinging paint cans filled to the brim? I'm surprised Harry and Marv weren't immediately killed in the first minute of stepping into the house.
That simple doorknob alone is just complete overkill. We can get 3rd degree burns from dipping our finger in boiling water for even a second. That knob is way hotter than simple boiling water, and since Harry held onto that doorknob tightly out of shock, that would've burned straight through his skin, muscle and even gotten to his bone before he let go.
Still a great classic though. Just a bit worried that Kevin is a psychotic serial killer in the making, especially after watching Home Alone 2.
“Where did he go?”
“Maybe he committed suicide.”
I can keep a straight face through his whole film but that line will always take me out
Also in the gag reel, Joe Pesci actually messed up the window line. The correct version is “Are you scared, Marv? Are you afraid?”. In the gag reel,Joe Pesci accidentally referred to Marv as his character,Harry. He said “Are you afraid to go out the window,Harry?”, before he quickly retaliated and said “I’m Harry.”. This is what the line sounded like in the gag reel. “Are you afraid to go out the window ,Harry? I’m Harry.”. It was hilarious. Also, the part where Kevin talks to the shovel guy, I forgot his name, is the most wholesome moment, along with Kevin’s family returning.
For real the gag when Pesci said Are you afraid to go out the window Harry”I’m Harry” was so funny I laughed so hard in one video it had that and I laughed so hard
Home Alone is one of my personal favorite Christmas movies. The second one is good too! The traps are always hilarious!
Me too.
@@nathancruz9172 Yeah
Stay away from the third one-Home Sweet Home Alone, they aren’t as good as the first two.
I'm in Canada 🇨🇦 too and yes lots of ice, I love skating on the Rideau Canal and eating beavertails and maple taffy on a stick and enjoy my poutine afterwards and hot chocolate
Fun fact: The pages to the playboy were glued shut. Macaulay Culkin said this in an interview once. Lol
Here are some fun facts:
•Macaulay Culkin’s stunt double was actually a very short 30 year old
•The Christmas ornaments Marv steps on are actually Christmas Candy
•During rehearsal for the scene where Harry attempts to bite off Kevin’s fingers, Joe Pesci actually bit off Macauley Culkin, leaving a small scar.
•Joe Pesci deliberately avoided Macaulay Culkin on-set because he wanted to think he was mean.
•Catherine O’Hara revealed back in 2014 that Macaulay Culkin still her calls her “Mom”.
Cool Runnings with John Candy is a awesome movie
In the beginning of this movie with Kevin’s family, I know how he feels. Being picked, humiliating, and left out. Just like me. But that was in the past. I will not get mistake as my family did.
I love that the interior decorating of the house is almost entirely red and green. Very Christmassy. I also love that there were so many small factors that led to Kevin being left behind - The scuffle at dinner the night before led to his ticket being thrown away, so the parents wouldn't realize he wasn't at the airport; the power going out so they were rushed and frantic in the morning; Kevin getting in trouble the night before and being exiled to the attic, so no one would realize he was gone and he wouldn't hear the commotion downstairs; the neighbor kid getting counted so they wouldn't realize they were missing Kevin; the dad forgetting to close the garage doors, leading Kevin to believe they didn't go to the airport and simply disappeared, which explains why he wouldn't go find help; and the phone lines being knocked out and all their friends being out of town so no one could go check on Kevin. I just love when director's don't force background information down your throat and let you figure it out for yourself.
“Guys, I’m eating junk and watching rubbish.”
My exact plans around the holidays.
Those videos Kevin watches with shooting was actually produced for this movie
25:31 you gotta give this Santa credit for showing kindness to Kevin after hearing his Christmas request
to save money, they filmed almost everything in chicago. they rented an old high school, built the interior of the house in a backet ball court and the flooded house in the finale in the pool. got the facts from the netflix documentary serie: the movies that made us.
The “I’m not afraid anymore” line is the DEFINITION of Famous Last Words 😂
21:14 Back in the day we didn't have lotions (maybe they existed, but weren't as widespread) we used alcohol based aftershave and it was irritant enough to burn a bit even intact skin. I actually miss those, as it gave that tingling fresh pinching sensation after every shave, like rubbing alcohol in a fresh wound. You could just "feel" it eradicating the bacteria... 😅
Chris Columbus has done nearly everything, he wrote Gremlins & The Goonies and besides Harry Potter 1 & 2 he also directed Mrs. Doubtfire. His resume is one of the best in Hollywood imo.
Also Bonus Fact: Fuller, Kevin’s Cousin (the one who drinks the Pepsi and wets the bed) is indeed played by Kieran Culkin, Macaulay Culkin’s real-life brother, but also played Wallace in Scott Pilgrim vs The World
"It's love, Scott. Wasn't trying to trick you." -Wallace
I'll bet Warner Brothers were really kicking themselves when they saw how well this film did. They were originally supposed to be the studio behind it, but when they went over their original budget for this film, they pulled the plug. However, writer/producer John Hughes secretly made a deal with 20th Century Fox for them to take over after this happened, and production resumed soon after.
09:59 If they went to Airport using their cars how cars would get back home? Is there some special service for that?

Thanks for the super reaction, guys!
(Clariss was right about the injury toll. A doctor analyzed scene by scene of this film and confirmed any combination of injuries would have resulted in severe neurological damage or death 😀)
Two interesting facts about this movie. First, Joe Pesci acted in this after he was in Good Fellas. Second, there’s a film theory that Kevin grows up to be Jigsaw. That last one is probably not true, but based on the traps he sets it’s not that far fetched.
Thebest John Candy movie is "Cool Runnings"
Fun fact the bandages on that man’s hand is a symbol of him and Kevin relationship because earlier it was all wrapped up in white tissue and bleeding but the church it was bandage with regular bandages and at the very end it’s completely gone.
I have been watching this movie my entire life and never noticed that was Kieran. I am usually really good at spotting faces, very impressive eye from Clariss.
the first two are just such classics, hope Clarice enjoys them both
Home Alone and Home Alone 2 are such both Christmas classics.
12:00 The sequel to “Angels with Filthy Souls” in Home Alone 2 was hilarious😂
If you’ve ever seen Pesci in any other movie around this time. He was mostly making mafia type movies.
Goodfellas, Casino, A Bronx Tale, Catchfire, The Public Eye.
Him trying not to swear in a PG movie is actually amazing.
I remember a few years ago during the holidays, my sister realized at family Christmas party, she accidentally left her son at our parent's house. Fortunately, our parent's house was down the street from where the party was. My mom joked "Kevin's missing" in reference to the film. My sister was not amused and our mom then politely agreed to walk her grandson back to his mother.
Always shocks me the movies Clariss hasnt seen, but watching her react to them is great : P
Fact:Macaulay Culkin’s middle brother played Cousin Fuller who drank the Pepsi soda can
Fun fact: the scene where Harry bites Kevin’s fingers, Joe Pesci bit too hard on Macaulay Culkin’s finger, now 30 years later, Macaulay still carries the scar from that bit to this day.
I don’t care how many times I watch the first 2 home alone’s, they’ll still be masterpieces! 😄
When y'all finish Home Alone 2:Lost in New York, y'all should check out Home Alone 3. It's not bad actually. I know it's not Kevin, Marv, and Harry, but I think it's pretty good.
Home Alone 3 (1997) was the first Home Alone film I ever saw in my life.
I hope they react to it.
@@StephenLuke Same!
Yeah Alex is smart too
Indeed Home Alone 3 is really underrated. I actually prefer it over 1st movie but not over 2nd movie. Alex just was a better kid to me and his circumstances made lot more sense.
How did you not watch this movie before I am 10 and I watch this movie when I was 5 so you are living under a rock bo cap
Kevin is gifted and his whole family thinks he's stupid and incompetent
Home Alone is such a classic for Christmas time and will never get old
When i was younger I always thought forgetting a kid was unrealistic untill i had a big family gathering and one of my younger cousins was forgotten and locked in the car!
He was in Uncle Buck first, then this. That's why it is so heartwarming to see John Candy and Macaulay in the same movie together again. Even though they didn't share a scene the connection was there. Then did "The Good Son" pretty brilliant child actor. And then went on to more.
Check out Wagons East. It's John Candy's last movie. He died before it was technically finished. It has Lewis Black, and the actor who played Dr. Cox from scrubs. It's great.
34:59 My sister LOVES that part! It's been her favorite part of the movie for years!
The Old Man actor (Roberts Blossom) also acted in "Close Encounters of the Third Kind", as that whistling guy on the road curve, before the first-full-view alien ships flew around over 'Barry' and Melinda Dillon. And later talked about "Bigfoot": "Made a Sound I'd Never Want to hear twice !"
Praying for everyone that agreed and/or laughed at the line "what can Jesus do?" It hurt my heart to hear that.
This is definitely one of my favourite Christmas movies ever I love the story, The traps Kevin sets up, the humour is on point, I love the cast as well overall a iconic movie and I’m glad Clarris finally watched it and I’m sure she will love the second one as well thanks for reaction Tim 😊😄😉❤️❤️❤️
Ohh yes! 🙌🏻 THE G.O.A.T of Christmas films
Honestly the best Christmas movie ever
If CPS existed in this movie, Kevin really would have gotten his wish
Fun facts in the original book the tarantula was named Axel while the dog was named Ralphie. Also in the book Kevin remembers Harry as the policeman from the other night but this time disguised as a plumber and his worry is they're trying to get them for the toothbrush theft but then later realizes that they're not cops at least the guy is not a cop but a crook
32:11 And I was thinking of Home Alone when I saw, "A Quiet Place"! ROFL 🥴😆😂🤣
Joe Pesci, who played Harry in this and the second film, also starred in Goodfellas alongside this. Other films released in 1990 were Total Recall and Kindergarten Cop. Kevin's younger cousin is played by Macaulay Culkin's brother Kieran. Besides the first two Home Alone movies, Macaulay Culkin also starred in My Girl, The Good Son, Richie Rich and The Page Master
22:39 When I saw this as a kid, I thought Kevin was holding a pair of scissors, and I was wondering how simply cutting the fuse would set it off.
A 90s Christmas classic. Macaulay Culkin was the kid I looked up to as the older, cool cousin I never had.
Even though the great John Hughes stopped directing films in the 90s, he always had a theme to them. The 80s classics he directed were about teenage angst. Whereas the 90s films he wrote and produced were about youth rebellion.

Fun fact: Joe Pesci was intentionally mean spirited towards Macaulay Culkin while they were not filming because he wanted a genuine, fearful reaction out of him in their scenes together.
Fun Fact: He was became the first child act to make a million dollars from the movie My Girl which came out a year later than this movie.
The nail scene in this movie reminds me of A Quiet Place (2018). Near the end of that movie, the female lead goes into labour and walks barefoot downstairs to a basement so that she can give birth in an empty bathtub. But; on the way downstairs, she steps on a nail and she’s not even allowed to make a noise in reaction to it. Nevermind that. Imagine having to give birth without moaning; groaning, or screaming!
