Yeah, I also think that the Morphagene is a totally different module, and I would not call it granular in any way, although, when you think about it, if you could slice tape small enough, it could also be granular.
Great stuff. Thanks for the comparison. Do I understand correctly that on the Arbhar, it's not possible to playback a recording without the random stereo panning?
Thanks :) Well, actually you can use only the mono output if you don't want stereo, and you can also configure this behavior in the configuration file on the sd card so if you want less stereo or no stereo panning at all. By the way, there are several options you cen set at the back of the module so, for example, you can have the mod input control a delay, and then there is no random panning anyway, and you can set the mod input to control the stereo width with cv. I have it normally set to have control over the reverb with the mod input so there's also random panning.

Totally!
C'mon, not everyone can afford to do that.. The less entitled answer would be what is your main outcome for having said module.... Let's be helpful not hedonistic.
@@apparently_sonam You're right. When I am totally honest I feel the Arbhar is an unneccesary investment when you have Clouds and a Morphagene. But I felt reluctant to write that. When you have a lot of acoustic stuff to experiment with, Arbhar would be a a very interesting option. And to be totally honest, I am hedonistic. ('It ain't much I am asking, I want it all and I want it now - Queen).
@@apparently_sonam Got one today after six months of patience. I can now say you GOT to have both. Video coming soon to prove my point.
can't wait for this vid, both are in my wish list. Just hope you don't make me buy both.
I don't know if you will buy both, but you will want both :)
@@OmriCohen-Music and the microcell now, :D
Ou yeah!
> you need to have both the Make Noise Morphagene and the Instruo Arbhar.
RIP wallet
Hey man, I'm not going down alone... :)
@@OmriCohen-Music lol
Oh yeah.
Cheers!
based on your reactions, the morphagene seems to be more creatively engaging - "oh yeah"
I love my Morphagene...
haha, good one. tho i must notice that deepest "oh yeah"
happened during 100% wet Arbhar reverb ;)
I feel like a comparison between arbhar and clouds would be more apt, but still a great video
Thanks! And yes, totally, Clouds in Granular mode is more similar, but many were interested in how it compares to the Morphagen.
@@OmriCohen-Music yeah thats fair. I feel like that will have rooted from a lot of people viewing Morphagene a "clouds killer", despite being a completely different module. Tbh it would be interesting to see how Arbhar, Morphagene and Clouds (or a clone, say Monsoon) play together as a trio.
Yeah, I also think that the Morphagene is a totally different module, and I would not call it granular in any way, although, when you think about it, if you could slice tape small enough, it could also be granular.
oh yeaaah!!
Cheers!
@@OmriCohen-Music aaah awesome. Thanks for the extensive reply! Youve gained a sub :)
@@jimvandersteege No worries :) Thanks!
I would say its way closer to Clouds than Morphagene
Totally, yes
Have a morphagene and was expecting to be blown away by the abhar but frankly the morphagene is much different and for me better. The CV control fantastic, combined the a mimeophon it’s a fantastic duo. Will go research the Nebulae now….
Hey was wondering how to load samples into the usb key for the Arbhar? Hope you can help!
Hi Adam, I'm sorry, but I really don't know. The thing is, there's still no manual for Arbhar so there are still some things unclear...
Omri Cohen Okay thanks, no worries. I was inspired and got the module today! I’ll fool around with it and see if I can find a solution 💫
@@nexcyia oh nice! You will have lots of fun with it!
all wet at 15:00...OMG
Oh yeah! But really, this reverb is really nice and very "musical".
"Arbhar", Irish word for "wheat", so yeah, grains.
And it's probably pronounced more like "arvar" just to be awkward.
morphagene ui was trash imo. hidden combo presses galore. strange wacky param names. ymmv
Welcome to Make Noise
@@MarcoLongoMusic inexcusable
Won't even consider (deep, complex) modules that are released without the g#dd@mn user manual. Seriously ridiculous on $500+ gear...
Should be released soon I hope
morph is king
Excellent comparison Omri!
The Morphagene sounds more musical than the Arbhar I must say...
Thank you!
Thanks man. I just loose 600€ 😁
I'm so sorry man... :)
Omri Cohen 😀 i bet its worth it.
Nah... you don't lose 600... you gain power... :P
The Morphagene is blatantly better in just about every way in every comparison and demo Ive seen.
God damn Omri, I just wanna come jam with you, I looooove granular synthesis its my favorite forever and ever
i have the qu bit nebulae and loadrunner and they are a huge part of what i do
in fact, apparently other people like it too cause ive wont a bunch of awards in film composition haha boom tricked em lolol

No more Make Noise modules for me. I am done with them! :-/
Y?
Take time to appreciate them 🙂
