I could listen to tony talk about eurorack / synths for hours. Actually, given that I’ve devoured any content out there where this man has spoken I probably have. I don’t think the success of make noise is a coincidence when you have such a smart and passionate man at the helm. Thank you tony (and rest of make noise crew) for hours upon hours of patching fun you have given me.
I'm fairly new to modular, but I'm looking forward to owning a Shared System of my own when the day comes that I'm able to afford one! Make Noise is a special company in an already unique field ❤
Thanks for answering our questions (again and again)! Somewhere, perhaps lost forever, there's a photo of Tony showing off the OG shared system (or an almost system) to me, at Zach's recommendation. I can't seem to find it, but I can very easily find lots of pictures of Zach doing silly things. Good times.
Thank you. Enjoyed hearing the story and recap of the journey. It is a shared history, for me as a long time user of those modules, you also become connected to the creator by spending hundreds of hours with the system. I think it will be an all time classic, just like the Buchla Easel. It is a complete instrument in a case (only added a X-pan) something to use and hold on to for probably the rest of your (musical) life. Salute!
This is going to be great! I love hearing Tony talk about anything. But, what we all really want to know is, will we ever get part 2 of Tony'Tape Talk? Or is it true that he says things so dangerous that the episode had to be destroyed?!
I always loved the shared system. I wasn’t able until now go get one. Unfortunately you retired the big shared system box. Therefore I now try to rebuild it modular by modular. Luckily the modulars are still available. I would love to see a version two are something similar from you guys. Keep it up!
I go in waves of playing synths vs other hobbies, and this interview has definitely put me back at the top of the synth wave after a bit of a lull. Can’t wait for part 2!
Make Noise and Doepfer were my first modular synths and I still love both company modules that have different approaches to modular synthesis and common ground. I record stems from modular and use in DAW to create tracks.
I love my Shared System Plus! I consider it to be a true synth classic, up there with the Minimoog, Buchla Easel, Prophet 5 and Jupiter 8. Are you considering a follow up Shared System II, which includes the stereo modules, Spectraphon, etc?
Wonderful video, thank you! I hope one day I can get my hands on a shared system but for now I am happy with my Strega, 0-Coast, 0-Ctrl trio. I will not buy any other piece of equipment until I can finally afford the Shared System.
I was sure there was a spectraphon-centric shared system on the way!

I remember when this was all happening, I had just quit working as a live sound engineer, and started working in healthcare, so suddenly I had more money and free time, and when the system came out, I was mad I didn’t wait, despite having 1500hp now, I still want one. 😂
Thanks ppl for asking questions i had no idea i wanted to know more about, and Tony for the modular answering ✨⛓🕳 It's just me but ... I feel ppl would embrace whatever non-shared shared system-like case you guys assemble beecous we Trust in your Creative ways of going about such things. Maybevget yr artist friends involved ala Strega. i'm still pondering how i will assemble the Zone4 case, but my tmmm will go into it. I think i won't think too hard about it actually because some of the best musical phrases come from total miscalucculations miss takes and other 'bad' moves. Anyway,.. real nice music/vid at the end. yrs J
I'm loving the respect that Tony gives Doepfer here. If I had the space / time / money, I'd love a wall of Doepfer.
Truly a gentleman. 👍
Lovely piece of music/video at the end too.
Still hoping for part two of the "Tony talks Tape", or actually the essential part this seemed to lead to: development of the Morphagene.

This guy is the embodiment of class and taste am I am very grateful that he's here with us on this planet.
Love it when Tony talks about how he thinks about and thought up the Shared System. I could easily watch a 4 hour directors cut.
Always lovely to hear from Tony and great to have the history put together like this.
Thanks for tuning in Ben!!

Thanks for watching and your kind words!! Happy patching 🎶⚡️🎶
Thank you for your work, man. Amazing company. All the best.
I love Tony's energy and Make Noise Modules. His passion makes me want to patch.
So great to learn more about one of the most inspiring electronic instruments of our time!

Raw danger! Will probably do a followup to that at some point but Tony is a busy man! We'll make sure that it is safe for human consumption :)
i am waiting for that episode 2

They have it for sale at perfect circuit

Glad to hear it!

Love this interview. However, I can't help but wonder...where can I get those curtains? Seriously. 😆
Thank you for this wonderful and inspiring interview! Also, the final three minutes of the video make me want to visit Asheville!
Ace! Looking forward to part two. 👍

That Shared System event was what convinced me to get into modular. Bought the Shared System Plus, it’s still my favourite. 🤘😆
Loved watching this. Great system. Please let me kick flip one. I can do it......... X
So glad he overcame the gloss-bullies and FINALLY went matte black...
That Matte Maths is incredibly gorgeous, like it's a new module!

Love the video! I think it would be nice in the future if you read the questions out loud, since I was listening to this while going for a walk
it's modular - examine the answer, then compose the question, then examine that question in the context of 2 other answers. simple.
@@russ254 are you OK?
Interesting to know there won’t be a shared system 2.

Lucky us✌️
Does that mean that the make noise shared system stereo will come out soon? come on guise I've been asking for months (more like weeks)
I was starting to intervene my shared system, ready to make something new out of its parts, but now I can't bring myself to do it
🖤💛
Hey Tony. I'll kickflip a Shared System, film it and post it. I'll even make an edit making it last trick. Let me know if you're down ;-)
I think I can kickflip one
From a guy that only uses black panels I dislike that Sean guy
It was a different time back then!! There wasn't this all black panel system thing until very very recently
Grown man wearing a beanie inside is a let down, other than that, good work
what an amazing interview💙 morphagene is responsible that i am an eurorack JUNKIE today. thank you tony and tom that i am broke as fuck 🤌
