Here's an update on my microlocs! (Finally lol)
I also share my set-up at home for when I retighten my locs and how a look at how I re-tie.

I’m close to you in number (295 upon diy installation, but have combined a few since) but started about a year after you. I lost a lock and saved the hair for a while, but ultimately threw it away, restarted a healthy loc from scratch, and recently combined its similarly lengthed neighbor for aesthetic purposes. It all depends on what you’re going for.
Kudos to you for retightening your hair every three weeks. I also go every three...months. Lol doing what works for each of us respectively.
Haha -3.... months. Honestly, we’ll see how it goes. I just don’t want them to thin out. These locs are divas and need extra attn 🤣🤣

Glad you back! Your hair looks great & love your jacket too 🥰 will you have enough regrowth to retighten every 3 weeks, be careful as that too contributes to thinning. Also retightening on dry hair can lead to thinning too don’t know if you wet it or not. But thank you for update I’m forward to watching your channel again after so long 😊🇬🇧
I've added hair that grew back from alopecia damaged areas. I have 288 microlocs and your hair is much thicker than mines. Buuut.. I'm only 5 months in. I started with 241 locks. Some I split too.
Mine were thinner in the first year and then started to thicken up. Give it time 😀
Did you add your own hair from other areas or got other hair to add?
