Not sure why 48 people disliked the video. This is the best tutorial ever on how to do this job. Peter made it so clear and concise I don't have any doubts in being able to do this now. Thank you!
I have a 2002 Toyota Echo and I just came from the garage and they told me way to big a job to adjust cables,so thanks to your video,I am going to give it a shot myself.thank you sir !!!
Peter, I appreciated how you demonstrated how to do the job right the first time and avoid damaging any components. Unable to do much on my car these days, because of the complexity of the modern engines etc, but after watching you, I will have a go at this job. While the hand brake is needed for safe parking, it may also save the transmission, if I get a minor shunt from the front or rear, while it is parked. Thanks from Australia.
I can now adjust the hand brake of my daughter’s Toyota Camry. Thanks Peter for showing us the right way to do it. Will save me some money from bringing the car to the mechanic
It is very good that persons like you share your knowledge. I have 1993 Camry with 360,000 kms so I was not expecting help for such an old car. Thank you very much!!!
Awesome video. Mine might not be working, so I think it needs adjusting. Your careful explaination , step by step instructions on how to remove interior parts to get to the emergency brake , cable. Thanks for sharing. Great video 👍👍👍.
Wonderful presentation and very clearly done as a step - by - step procedure. You even show some of the little problems that can occur. Thank you! I will use your information.
thank you so much for this slow explanation and honest video , not so many honest mechanics like you today , continue to do this nice video about about a cars ... (( be blessed ...
I am not a mechanic, I liked your video and the way you showed me how to do the cable tensioning. I would have thought that you should have jacked the vehicle up and put on jack stands, and then before assuming that the tension was right,,, go and see how the wheels spin freely. BUT I guess by evaluating the clicks and thereby the tension in the cable would be sufficient. I learned from you, but I will jack the vehicle up as I am not a mechanic and would not be sure that I have the right tension,,,, perhaps also the shoes should be adjusted,,, I don't know about it, but I am about to do a Camry 2003 cable,,, if there is a cable,, the handbrake leaver has no resistance as if there is no cable or connection at all. Can you can you come to North Queensland and do it for me? Cheers, and thanks Peter Finn. Yes by the accent I know you are from lovely, friendly Finland.
@@PeterFinnTheCarDoctor you are welcome. I have a,1994 Toyota Camry. 4 cylinder. Some of the dash lights are not working,. Speedometer works , but the dash lights for the stereo and heater fan , selector and the floor shifter lights work once in a while. I wonder what it could be as to why, ? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for your videos on E brakes issue , not working 👍👍. Bill
3/8 ratchet? Its not a tractor trailer lol its called a lock nut not a bolt . Every step could have been covered in a 2 minute video. Brake shoes should be checked and adjusted first .
