Thank you very much for a very detailed, well put video. I’d given up all hope on replacing the parking brake cables myself, as it seemed like an overwhelming feat. Although some parts do seem a bit tedious, it seems much easier than I initially thought, all thanks to your video. Well done!

Great video, it's nice to see others that have to deal with rusty cars as well. I've gotta replace both my rear cables for inspection as they're seized.

Thanks for the note. Looking back on the job, it wasn’t a big deal, it was just more than I had initially planned, and I did have to wait for some parts. The Camry is an excellent vehicle. It would cost us $$$ to replace it.
      Cheers

Great video, highly detailed, best that I have seen on this subject. Working right rear hub assembly on 2008 Camry, wheel speed sensor. I cannot seem to separate the hub flange, from the caliper mount, which brought me here. It appears you replaced both the hub, and backing plate previously, as they looked recent? Thx!

Yes, I started with a game plan to replace just the bearing. When I dug into it, I found the emergency brakes shot, and the backplate rusted. I ended up doing everything. I had to reassemble the vehicle to return it to service between these jobs though as the brake pads were backordered. I glad you found it helpful.
