We moved from the mountains in WV USA to NC to get away from the cold and snow. We have had temps in the 20's F. and had snow for the last week. Out walking with our dog, it is amazing the animals that are moving on our property. Kinda fun tracking in the snow and miss it in the mountains. The dog doesn't like the snow. Am further on the project of my 223 rifle thanks to my son. Got a scope coming for our 22 cal air. It's been a long time since I built anything, and I have found my gunsmithing love again thanks to your vidios. Our three sons have been an encouragement. I am 69 now and found my calling again. Love your narrative of your equipment and your beautiful abilities to use it. As a retired law enforcement firearms instructor your skills are something that are nice to see along with your safety for discharging your weapons. Stay Safe.
Absolutely brilliant video. Not in any order. Fabulous snowy pics, cracking shots, a man freezing his nuts off to do his work, great commentary and totally honest about his situation. Good God sometimes Simon you just make every ones day. Well done mate. Greetings from Glasgow
I am not a shooter but I do care about what we as humans do to manage our environment. We are apex predators and must manage the wildlife to protect vulnerable species. You are doing the bit for the human race in your part of the world. I appreciate what you do and the care and respect you give to the creatures you control. Keep going Simon. We need more like you.
We really do appreciate the efforts you go to to bring us these videos, and as someone brought up in Lancashire but living in Essex, that lovely Lancs lilt in your accent is a reminder of what I left behind!
Evocative sounds crunching your way along a moor path in the snow Simon. Fantastic marksmanship with the first two foxes. Cracking start to the new year...
Hi Simon, Thank you for a great watch and insight into what a professional does and how he does it. There'll be do many more lambs and ground nesting birds that have a chance of survival now this spring. For any townies watching and folk that dont approve pulling their faces, this is control and not about ending a species. It's not pleasant to see, but if Foxes weren't controlled, there'd be devastation to other species, and farmers' livelihoods would be impossible. Thank you, Simon, for your professionalism and shooting skills and dedication in such cold, uncomfortable weather. You deserve all your positive comments. Well done, mate.
As always another great video Simon, I love watching your videos mate, I know you will but keep up the excellent work 👍👍🦊🦊🦊, your shooting is something else Simon and the respect you have for the things you shoot 😃
What a beautiful opening!! I am sure glad I’m not a fox because there would be nowhere to hide from you!! I try to film repairing stuff and that’s a pain, I cannot imagine trying to film while hunting fox! You are one of a kind Simon!! Well done, your friend from Wisconsin US
Brilliant Shooting Expedition, thankyou Simon. Spring is just around corner, for sure. On 22nd of Dec' last year (1st day of longer days) I noticed the Crows outside our house reclaiming and standing guard over the remnants of last years Nest and chasing other Corvids from out of their Territory. Thanks for posting.
My hands can't take the cold like they used to, and here I am rubbing my hands in sympathy with the cold you're feeling there.:) Those were really good shots on Ma and Pa Fox not to mention that third one that went and hid from you after the shot! Makes for really interesting video, as I've come to expect now, whenever I see your videos pop up. Thanks again Simon, I do enjoy these.
Well done again simon , love watching your videos mate so keep doing the filming, i appreciate it's a juggle but they always come out good . Keep up the good work.
Great video work Simon and much appreciated taking your time to setup in the snow and cold and not wearing gloves I'm impressed. I've been out hunting in it for many years and just before I'm going to shoot take my one glove off. Excellent shooting 2 Foxes one right after another stellar and a 3rd right off the road awesome. I awesome like the respect that you show for the ones that you take. Cheers brother
Nice one Simon. Hats off to you bringing these films to us all. Its easy for folk to think its easy to just grab the gun and camera and go out out and make a film but it isn't. All the best mate looking forward to seeing you smoke some Corvids. 👍
Fantastic results Simon don’t worry your doing a great job of filming keep going for it 👍 looks like the kings going to be busy with all them black things lol
@simon6ppc246 Can't wait getting closer with the saving up lol 😆 must admit I've been trying some slugs in the old falcon fn19 fac with good results nothing in the league of the King though keep at em mate 👍
Well done Simon your perseverance paid off . I also was out for three nights in the cold -8 in Todmorden . I’ve bought some heated socks to go in my Hanwag trapper boots , handy when your static for hours .Thanks for your efforts .🦊🦊
The socks have a pair of usb rechargeable power banks, they last a full foxing shift, chose 1 size larger than usual .HTX heat apparel was my supplier .
Spring was here over Christmas ! Catkins out, daffodils flowering in Cornwall , I couldn't believe my eyes . The blackbirds are nesting in the garden, the seasons are all messed up . Great shooting 🏴👍😉

Fantastic video Simon, a tense one this time ha ha... I was hoping the the 4K wouldn't break your no miss streak and it didn't disappoint. 3 down, a happy farmer and hunter 👏👏👍
Cheers pal and that 4K honestly has been spot on i really mean that to, i do not tell lies ever and that Scope is honestly the best all round NV i have ever used in 99% of what it can do. Un fortunately the Drone Pro i have stood by all this time has kind of been out dated which is a shame.
That's good to know, at least it's a honest review and thorough testing done... It's stood the test and is a good scope 👍 looking forward to the next vid 👍
This is the ASMR version of Simon6ppc. There are footsteps in the snow and, at 11:06, the pitter-patter of the raindrops hitting the car. Great job. 😇😉
This is your blood brother Boston Ma. Haven't watched the video yet but I think I can see Mr fox getting out foxed.its becoming a lost Art sad because some of us cut our teeth on them. My friend you make it look so easy. Simon still waiting on the coffee ☕️ mug. Picture of your best mate on it. Just need a few more of your you tube family members putting a order in or 2. If you're not already you would make one He'll of shooting instructor. Hope all is well&family.
I use these reusable heat pouches hand warmers. They fit in winter gloves . Just put them in boiling water to recharge them , ready for the next time. Amazon sells them . That was a very productive night. 👍
another great video simon and your marksmanship is always spot on, you never miss a shot, and i know you don't like shooting them, you have elaborated to this before, even apologizing to them, but it is a necessary evil to protect the other nature

I was wondering if you tried using your thermal spotter to find that fox at the end of the video? Also, I've seen some guys have a scope with a built in lazer pointer, and they put that lazer pointer's dot on the animal before walking out to it, then you just go to the dot! Keep up the great videos! ✌️
Great video mate as ever. May I ask what speed your shooting your PPC at ? I think you said 58 grain ? I might wrong . I was looking for are to seeing you shoot the King again . 😢

Great filming Simon and inspirational shooting,re finding dropped quarry, thought wouldn't it be something if in the scope the spot could be marked by g.p.s. and just walk up on the mark given....

I’m glad you have the snow not us down south 🥶

I was wondering if you tried using your thermal spotter to find that fox at the end of the video? Also, I've seen some guys have a scope with a built in lazer pointer, and they put that lazer pointer's dot on the animal before walking out to it, then you just go to the dot!

I was watching Winterwatch this week and the awe they feel about foxes is in stark contrast to this page. I wondered what the position is with foxes countrywide? Is there an over population in your area? Or are the townies just over romanticising Mr Fox?
Sayin' ello, lad! I 'ope thas fine 😊
Brilliant video again si, what call is that u used on the foxpro????

Any feedback yet on that head torch set up?
Cheers pal, oh ye a very good head lamp but they only last about an hour and an half so to be fair i am not that impressed with it but it does shine well for that short time.
@ “The flame that burns twice as bright, burns half as long” Lao TZU.
It looks bright enough yes but a shame about the endurance of the battery.
I had a Clulite lamp for rabbiting back in the late ‘80s (As we all did) it was 1 million candle power but it needed a shoulder strap for the battery. Cost £100 too.
All the best. 👍
Nice one
Thank you.
Did you get the 100 mph winds parts of Scotland got? Hope you stayed safe and great video

Can one not use your thermo to find a downed fox? I would think that would make it a lot easier, no?
I did Ben but it had fell down a gap in water so didn't see it plus it started Hail stoning so i gave up lol.
👍🇬🇧👍
Cheers pal.
It looked suspiciously like a foxes ear in the grass on the third one at 10.12 in the video.
Lol ye the fox was down a dip pal hence why i never see him yet to this day i must have been half asleep lol.
Excellent video as usual Simon. Whereabouts do you live and shoot? Looks like a glorious part of the world.
