Esta linda e talentosa menina é um raio de sol num mundo escuro. Um presente maravilhoso para a humanidade. Obrigada, Alma, você consegue afastar a depressão mais profunda e criar alegria e contentamento.
A captivating and utterly adorable work, reflecting IMO a significant maturing in her composing style. Maybe not - maybe it just seems that way because here she's not using any particular style template - - she's just writing something that poured directly out of her heart. [Later:] This qualifies as her first "contemporary" piano solo piece. Damn good for her forray into this genre/style.
There's serenity, passion, and love. Along with some moody parts in the bass line halfway through. Now if we can get mainstream music to follow your lead, maybe just maybe the world would be that much better for it.
I love Alma's solo piano pieces. They bring to mind various composers including Schumann and Chopin in this one, but they are also full of Alma's ideas and melodies. I hope she will write some more piano concertos too, the first one was delightful. The piano sonata she composed aged just 6 is also very good, hope she does some more sonatas too.
Alma, are there any instruments that give you compositional difficulties, and act like misbehaved children as you're writing a piece? I would be very interested in your response. Thanks and keep up the excellent work. I love your classical pieces.
would make a pretty nice broadway show tune...could even hear it dropped into a more melodic hip hop tune....a real nice basis for a lieder...good early work by a young composer with great promise.....
One of her better efforts. Still, I can’t help wondering why her parents do not send her to a real music school. Juilliard, Curtis, the Paris Conservatoire, there are perhaps a dozen top music schools in North America and Europe. Since she’s obviously interested in Western music, why not give her a chance to learn something from the pros?
She said in an interview once that she sends her scores to a music professor in Chicago and those scores come back with lots of red pen remarks. So I would imagine that her parents, both academics, have connected her with great teachers...or pros as you say
Have you seen any of the behind-the-scenes footage of her running rehearsals? She can hear the slightest stray from what she has written. Her grasp of harmony is astounding, and innate; you cannot teach someone what she naturally understands. And she has been working with "experts" for years, and as mentioned by someone above she has enrolled in a University conducting course. Her reason? To even further enhance her ability to truly get her music to sound like she hears it in her head. I would think any fan of this type of music would be thrilled to have a living composer writing astounding sonatas, concertos, and even operas that are original, complex, and beautiful...
We are very lucky to live at this time as to have the enormous luck to see and listen a genius like Alma while growing in her endless creative skills. I am old, 79, but still hope to enjoy her music for some more time.
Thank you, Alma.
I feel, this piece guides towards peace, if you listen deeply.
May peace come back....
Thank you, Alma, for posting your music on TH-cam. We can all live with you and through you. You are a blessing to humankind. ❤️
Yes!
She started with a more classicism style. Now is evolving to romanticism. Very excited to see what comes next.
I guess you said this better than I did (above).

This is very nice, but I much prefer to hear you sing and play this song when you first introduced it. You have a lovely voice.

It seems nobody noticed this: dark hair!
I don't understand, where are your wings? Where is your halo? You can't be a mere earthling.
Have you thought about recording yourself, violin on piano?
she already has: th-cam.com/video/xLnNs8jJMAI/w-d-xo.html

@@sylviaroyce8736 she has had tuition since she was very small, 6 or so. In partimenti, with Tobias Cramm no?

She is currently getting a degree in conducting at the MDW, University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
