Thanks for building my cubes! Definitely still more improvements to come, unfortunately the grill pieces in the edges just don’t want to stick very well, but I do have a revised version now. I’ve changed the corners a ton, and the edge pieces are a bit more stable since the new grill pieces are in metallic silver, the paint creates a bit more friction. Not perfect, but you can check it out if you’re interested!
The first biggest step to cube integrity is to get rid of as many 1x1 connections as possible. The little vents attaching by the middle piece is a 1x1 connection, and it is so much weaker than even a 1x2 connection.
I wonder how much sanding the edges would help. Was common among speedcubers until a few years ago, when cubes got much better out of the box. And also obviously lubing the cube.

You could put blue tack in the vents. Then the cube isn’t 100% lego but it doesn’t change the structure and it would make the cube nicer to use cause the those parts wouldn’t fall off as much.
Maybe it is an idea to use nanotape to temporary clue some pieces, nanotape can be removed. And the cube can still be disassembled and nano tape can be removed without any trace
Also Z3Cubing, why don't you practice with that Lego cube and get that 8:21 time down (maybe sub 5 minutes)! It could allow you to hold the world record for longer!!!
For those parts that pop off easy just use a dab of white glue or mod podge. As if you need to take it off later you can with just some warm water, but otherwise it is mostly permanent bond.
Hey Z3, could you make more videos on this cube? I've seen a lot of comments on Puzzlegos video where people who made the cube says it falls apart before they can even pick it up. It looks sturdy enough when you and Puzzlego handle it, but a durability test would be welcome

Last time I was this early, beginner method was a good speed cubing method
the best iv got with beginner is 13.25 and iv only been doing beginner for the past year

If it's your only cube, yes, otherwise it could be considered going in with the expectation to do poorly, which is against the regulations.

Ha, it sure falls apart a lot, and you have to be extraordinary careful with it. There were a lot of explosions edited oout for the sake of the video.
If you didn’t mind sacrificing the legos you could glue the mechanism parts and the you could probably solve it sub 5
