Some of you are asking how do I show the puppet cube algorithms on a 3x3? My brain is just so big that anything is possible.
    JK
Any turn involving the big corner is a double layer move, and otherwise it's a single layer move. Then all the algs work on a 3x3 as well. I didn't mention this in the video but that's why the notation for the algs is so crazy.
Also here's the alg sheet: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1mfZWzr6oYapmbOXUD4TC0KBOQzPsCr00a3cdYKBsiZU
This is not a tutorial so when you inevitably struggle to solve this stupid thing it's not my fault 😂

Of all the puzzles I've solved to date (somewhere between 150-200 of them), the Puppet Cube 1 is the only puzzle to date (of all the puzzles I've attempted) that I have not managed to solve, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. This puzzle is monstrously frustrating. I spent weeks trying to solve it and ultimately came to realize that it was much more frustrating than it was fun (at least for me), and so I just decided to leave it unsolved. It's a brilliant puzzle because it looks easy at first glance, but is actually one of the most difficult twisty puzzles that exist. I've solved the Puppet Cube 2 one time, but it was also more challenging than what I typically enjoy, and thus that was the only time I solved it.

The way you described the number of algorithms is like when I first learnt Sanskrit
In sanskrit, you have to learn different variations of every word depending on the vowel it ends with, so each vowel has 24 ways. That into the 4 important ones multiplied by the three genders equals 288 variations. That's not all, you have to learn the different ways verbs can be made depending on the time and context. 5 tables with 9 variations each = 45 giving a grand total of 288+45= 333. There is soooo much more important stuff but this is the very basic you need before you can form sentences

all the comments about how intelligent you are/need to be to be able to figure this out are absolutely true, but I think the ability to not only talk about it in (somewhat)layman terms, as well as a well structured and well produced video are even more massively impressive. the ideas here are largely things you could probably find in computer science/pure mathematics textbooks, and the intellect/work to properly connect those concepts to a physical puzzle is something you might see in niche publications. the ability to take all that and concisely organize it into a sleek looking and entertaining video, while also introducing the ideas in a way thats digestible with or without any prior education in the relevant fields, is, as far as I know, completely unheard of, and basically superhuman. this is unbelievable, thank you for making this stuff man
