Given how popular the cinematic look has become in photography, do you think you could show us how you would go about colour grading a photo in Lightroom or Capture One? I've been watching many of your tutorials, but the difference between Davinci and the photo editing tools I use makes it really hard to recreate a decent teal and orange look.
I've thought about it.
Honestly, I apply almost ALL of these tricks in Lightroom for my photos and they work nearly identical. Its all the same, except for cinema the image is just moving.

since i discovered your channel my videos have a new face, i use sony zve1(fantastic) on davinci resolve, i adopted your technique, I have only one question, what settings should be given to the project settings-color management-to make this setting work well directly on nodes with color space transform effect..?

While I own both a dsmc2 dragon, and Komodo…. Both of those are cumbersome. I picked up the a6500 which for the purposes of social/TH-cam. I’m finding it hard to beat if not pushing colors and still shoots in log. It’s only 8bit however. Curious to see how far you could push a6400,-6600 footage
A6400 and a6600 still shoot the same old 8 bit video. What you can achieve on the 6500 you will achieve on the other apsc line.
can u find so much diffrenece in the results between this camera and a fx30 maybe?
I wonder why other colorist take daVinci wide gamut as joke when it seems to Handle everything it’s a little weird to me

I have to see more, but at this time I'm not loving the footage coming out of this camera. I know that it's supposed to be pretty darn similar to the FX3, but I'd like a side-by-side comparison of both. Let's hope someone arranges it.

Please do a Video on the Fuji XH-2s and it's flog 2. (Davinci doesn't have a color space transform for it, how do you work with it then...) But it has a ton of DR thanks to the 14 bit readout...
From what ive seen you need to buy a 3rd party DCTL in order to convert flog2, that is also the reason im still sticking with the xt3.

Hey Qazi! Would HLG3 be a better color profile for 8 bit on Sony, as opposed to slog?
HLG is made to be a 10 bit delivery format. Its fine to use, but anything other than 10 bit HLG is a strange and not fitting choice to the literal intnetion of HLG itself (Hybrid log gamma HDR content, which is outputted to 10 bit displays directly).

All my videos are made using Sony ZV-E10. And and i dont have budget so i will stick to it. 😅
I love your content but wish you would not use film box since it cost 1000.00's of dollars for a plug in and most people cannot afford it or would even buy it..
Filmbox is only used for granite halation, so it’s obviously not necessary which I make it clear in the tutorial as well.
