Assalam aleikoum !!! Listening to the imam is like being present or watching on a big screen the events happening in front of your own eyes . May Allah the almighty bless you and your family
Episode 46 - 50 Notes: Part 1 Prior to the Battle of Uhud The Quraysh began planning for this immediately after their defeat at Badr. The Makkan economy was built on the pipeline between Syria and Yemen. The Muslims are directly in the way of their to Syria, thus war was inevitable. Abu Sufyan went around Makkah with Ikrimah and Safwan and begun financing for an offensive against the Muslims. He appealed to big Arab tribes like the Banu Kinanah for resources and he assembled an army of 3000. Then on the 7th of Shawwal 3AH, Abu Sufyan led the army from Makkah. The central flank was led by Abu Sufyan and the two sides were led by Khalid Ibn Waleed and Ikrimah Ibn Abi Jahal. After the Quraysh left, Al Abbas RA sent a servant to warn the Prophet SAW of the impending invasion. This servant reached Medina within 3 days and on the 13th Shawwal informed the Prophet SAW. The Prophet SAW then sent 2-3 spies to assess the distance of the Quraysh, who came back and informed the Prophet SAW, that the Quraysh are 2 days away. The Prophet SAW then told the Ansari Chiefs and his closest companions. The Prophet SAW then the following day, told all the Muslims of what was happening and asked for their views. Initially the plan was to stay in Medina in a defensive position and to use the geography of Medina to their advantage. But some of the younger Sahabah RA, were eager to go on the offensive and thus the Prophet SAW put on his armour and agreed to this. The Prophet SAW then split the army of 1000 into 3 flanks, the Muhajirun led by Musab Ibn Umair RA, the Banu Aws led by Usaid Bin Hudair RA and the Banu Khazraj led by Habab ibn Mundhir RA. The Muslim army then left Medina. Enroute to Uhud, Abdullah Ibn Ubayy ibn Salul and his 300 followers slowly begun moving to the back of the army until they turned away. When confronted by the companions, Abdullah Ibn Ubayy Ibn Salul made up excuses and Allah SWT later confirmed in the Qur’an that Abdullah Ibn Ubayy was just a coward. The companions RA were unsure how to deal with the traitors but, Allah SWT informed them that he will deal with them and that they should focus on the upcoming battle. The Prophet SAW on the 14th Shawwal 3AH, arrived at the Mountains of Uhud, where they had the geographical advantage due to its environmental constraints The Prophet SAW led the Muslims secretly to Uhud to avoid the Quraysh finding out ahead of time. The Muslims were positioned in manner where their backs were to Uhud and they were facing Medina, which is where the Quraysh would attack from. The Prophet SAW at Uhud then began organising the army into their positions. As usual anyone younger than 15 was sent back to Medina. The Prophet SAW boxed himself and the army in, all sides were covered except Jabal Al Rumah. Thus the Prophet SAW stationed 50 archers there and commanded them to stay there until told otherwise. By night time on the 14th Shawwal, both the Muslims and Quraysh had arrived at Uhud. Please note: I HIGHLY recommend that you all watch YQ’s Seerah series, as I DON’T cover every single detail the Sheikh mentions. I made these notes primarily for myself but, decided my fellow brothers and sisters may benefit from them too. I no doubt will have made mistakes in my notes. All the good in these notes is from Allah SWT and all the mistakes are from myself. But, I was very meticulous and tried my best to make sure everything is accurate as the Sheikh mentions it. You also will see I have added “Fun Trivia facts” under each of my notes. These FTFs are information YQ said that was off topic or not necessary to include in my notes for the episode. But, they were still worth mentioning hence the inclusion as FTFs. FTFs aren’t always HAPPY pieces of information. Sometimes they are very sad trivia. I just want to say that FTF is the phrase I used for them all collectively when making the notes. One thing I wanted to do but am too lazy to do is, maybe someone could take the FTFs from under each “Episode” and make an Islamic reminder/information IG/TikTok account and post them daily or something. Could be a great form of Sadaqah Jaariyah. Please keep me in your Duas and ask Allah SWT to forgive all our sins during this blessed month and beyond! Ameen

Subhanallah. May Allah bless brother Yasir Qadhi. This detail series of lecture about biography of Prophet (SAW) strengthen my Imaan during a time of so many lies against him.
(Dr. Mustafa Khattab) If Allah helps you, none can defeat you. But if He denies you help, then who else can help you? So in Allah let the believers put their trust. -Surah Aal-E-Imran, Ayah 160
another theory of why The Prophet (S.A.W.) would wait until after Uhud to inform them of his dream is that he did not want to bring down the moral or give anyone cause not to participate or even to turn away from Islam. imagine if someone was telling you that you were about to lose in battle. you're not so eager to fight knowing defeat was on the horizon. even though you are victorious eventually, those who had little to no "religiocity" may not fight well or at all. This shows his leadership
Thanks for releasing part 45, I was waiting and waiting I thought that you are not going to complete this series. Hope watching it till end... inshallah
This is a very good series. But as far as I remember, there was one woman who actually fought and defended the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in the battle of Uhud. Her name was Nusaybah bint Ka'ab.
AkiimboGaming Ka'ab was a name used by Arab Jews so it makes sense that many converts of the Khazraj had the name Ka'ab and yes there were many Ka'ab's.
54:14 I am not a scholar, but I am a "second amendment guy," so I think the direct application of the hurm may be applicable. Just like they could not unsheathe their swords in the Haramayn so too would they not be able to unholster their handguns today. Handguns are a more personal weapon and long guns are more offensive in nature, so I wonder what the ruling at that time was regarding bows and arrows and spears and how that qiyaas would apply today. Insha Allah we will not need to find out and the Haramayn Shareefayn are peaceful and protected. Ameen. Also, after Christchurch I don't think any American mosque should prevent its congregants from conceal carrying. Some smaller masajid and mussalas don't have budgeting to hire armed security (and wallahi I don't trust them unless they're off duty cops) let alone law enforcement. We must "tie our camels" in this regard, but Allah knows best. In 2015 when Allah called me and my family to the Haramayn Shareefayn, I did not notice any armed guards (soldiers/National Guard or police) inside the mosque limits in either city. I did see an armed police officer (the only armed person I saw in either city) dealing with some traffic disturbance in Madinah Munawarah, but I mean he had no cause to unholster/unsheathe his weapon. Regardless he was outside of al-Masjid an-Nabawi anyways, so I don't know if the haram status still applies (modern day qiyas would be to extend the Haram status from the original city limits of Madinah to the current suburban limits of Madinah, maybe? not for me to decide lol).
Yess.. I.m agree..!!!young men in particular are always overzealous and rash it is in their character and nature impetuousness rashness quick acting a little bit of arrogance and cockiness generally speaking the first war, the Prophet Muhammad saw .was 55 years old... may be a mature age overall..🙏
Why do people over compliment Sheikh Qadi? This is not permissible, what do you benefit from it? If you like it that's good, no need to go overboard, people are just interested in getting likes nowadays.

If we take women children into account, its rather around 2000 ?
women and children were not on the battlefield. They were in the city.
