Not saying that the Nasab mentioned in the lecture of Ismaail to Adam is correct, but having few people between them doesn't have to mean it goes back only 6 thousand years. People used to live long. Who's to say that any mentioned name was his father's first or second son? Maybe he was born to him when he was 500 years old or something, this will automatically add a few more thousand years to the calculation. And saying that humanity goes back only 6 thousand years seems very off even from a common sense point of view. Adam and Nuh alone lived about 2000 years. I don't think they lived for the time of third of humanity when there were so many prophets and messengers throughout history.

I disagree with you at 12:00, because the age of marriage and parenthood differ, u r talking the average age of parenthood as 30's in 20th century but we take in the early 19th century it might be the 20's might be the average age of parenthood.. so the calculation might be wrong..

    As Salaam aleykum waRahmatullahi waBarakaatuh
    Masha Allah, Hafidullah,
I like to listen the Seerah of our Beloved Prophet Mohammad Ibn Abdullah (Peace be Upon him), by Sh Yasir Qadhi, the only problem I have is you can't see the Numbers before you click on a video, the Numbers are hiding inside, so. I have to klick every video for me to find which Nr. I was looking for. Please can you add the numbers before the , name of the video ? LIKE : (1) Seerah of ....,) so that we can see and click on the correct number :)!
    Baarak Allahu feekum for sharing
    Wa Salaam aleykum waRahmatullahi waBarakaatuh

As salaamu Alaikum. Is there any that sheikh yassir can respond to this questioning a future video please. For I love and respect his thoughts for the sake of Allah swt. The question is...since the prophet saw parents. Grandparents wtv. Never recieved the message of Islam, are they held accountable on the day of judgement. A couple hadiths I'm confused about regarding this. One is when allah doesn't hold people accountable if the message has not been conveyed to them properly. The second is where I also heard brother Yassir speak about in the earlier episodes of the Serrah, is that when Abu Lahab asked the prophet about Abdul Muttalib and in basically stated that his grandfather will be in the hell fire? What about the parents of the prophet saw? I'm sorry if the question may seem in any way harmful, but due to my research of my curiosity it seems like the Ulama of the past have differed in this subject. Please help if possible and keep up the wonderful work. JazzaAllahu Khair.

"We have identified that very early on in the talks of the Seerah of our Prophet (ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) an episode went missing and after much effort we were not able to locate this missing episode of the Seerah.
So in this special episode Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi decided to go back and redo this episode last week in order to complete the series. As a result all later episodes following on from Part 5 have been renumbered to accommodate this missing episode.
Join Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi as he goes back to before the birth of the Prophet (ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and discusses the 'Genealogy of the Prophet (ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and the Year of the Elephant' in the Seerah of our Prophet (ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) Part 5."

Oic. Ok thank you so much brother. Anyway I realised why I thought I have heard lecture before as the some of the points is similar the next video called part 5 is a bit similar as Sheikh Yasir also talks about the geneology of the Arabs.
Thanks for the responding for my query. I guess I shall have to listen to this lecture Insya Allah to find out what are the differences with next part 5.

I have a question about the name "Abdul"Mutalib"
As we know the names of Allah ((The Almighty)) like Abdul-"Aziiz"((Al-Aziiz)) Abdul"Rahman" ((Ar-Rahman))
Abdul"Rahim"((Ar-Rahim)) and so on, are all Allah (The Almighty's) names.
What about the name Abdul"Mutalib" ((Mutalib)) ?
    Baarak Allahu feekum !

After the death of Hashim, the charge of pilgrim's food and water went to his brother Al MUTTALIB..
When shaibah(abdul Muttalib) reached his teenage, his uncle Al Muttalib heard of him and went to Madinah to bring him to Makkah. When he saw him, tears filled his eyes. He embraced him and took him on his camel.
The boy however abstained from going with him to Makkah until he took his mother's consent.
There in Makkah people wondered at seeing Al Muttalib and the boy thus, considered the boy to b a slave of Muttalib (Abd al Muttalib)
AL Muttalib told them that the boy is his nephew. he was brought up in Al Muttalib's house .

No, he was there with his children and also several people who believed in him and went with him in the arc. They were few in number but prophet Nuh had sons and other people with him.

If the hadith says that the Muslim Khalifas should always be from the Quresh, then how come for the past several centuries we have not had any khalifa from the Quresh tribe? Basically after the Abbasids, we haven't had any Qureshi caliph. The Qur'an never talks about the superiority of ANY tribe or nation whatsoever, so this hadith - like many, many others - cannot be correct because it violates the principles of just governance as laid down in the Qur'an. On that account, to claim that prophet Muhammad belonged to the "best of the lineage in the world" is only a hype that stands no chance of being correct according to the Qu'ran. The clearly says that all tribes are named only for identification purposes and they do not have any intrinsic superioity. How come our "shaikhs" never feel pain at violating the Book of Allah left and right day in and day out???

      I think you misunderstood brother.
In the eyes of ALLAH, only taqwa matters.
But in THIS WORLD as we see around us, there are families which are are considered to be more noble than other families in society.
Also sheikh clearly said it and also mentioned the hadith, which says only taqwa makes you superior or higher in ranks.
