Very helpful. That's what I ran into when I changed my rear shocks.

Love it! This is similar to me lifting my 1400lb (630kg) riding mower with a rope and my tractor's front end bucket loader, then laying under it to change the three blades! My wife did NOT like that one! LOL.
I'm on your side. I say dangerous, or not, get creative and get the job done!
    Well done!

Sorry mate but a bit dangerous. .I have bought bike scissor jacks for my bikes...40 quid. .eBay. ...works great..and it goes high enough to remove wheels plus because it is a flat platform there's no chance of damage to the sump or gbox. Great videos mate .

It's a little bit risky balancing on one point on the jack Alf, I tried my Bike lift under my Harley and also found it would not fit. Least risky solution was I bought an Eazyrizer Strongarm. one of the cheapest and best accessory for my H-D at £90 and UK made.

If you have nothing else you need to improvise. That’s the point of the video. Cheers

If you can afford a 15 k bike I’m sure you could afford a 60quid bike jack , and that method looks well dodgy

That's Dodgy Az,,, lol.. You can pick up a proper bike lift from ( here in Australia we call Supercheap Auto ) I don't know what u guys have there , but on special it cost me $ 100 bucks and its same as a Harley one...Don't Take the Risk with such Expansive bike...

Maybe something a little wider would be better for the kickstand in case it moves a little.

I think the risk is to high too high that it falls from the jack. I paid 20k € for it, as you know 😎

Spend the money on a bike jack. Too dangerous in my opinion. I give you credit for thinking out of the box though.

Dangerous? He said to make sure it is tied off . How can this be any more dangerous than any other lift out there.

Please tell me you dont work on that beautiful harley, when you use such a dodgy way to lift your bike. You should always use a proper bike lift to work on your bike.
