    Monk, I have had one for over 10 years. Awesome jack. One tip is lower it until the safety levers jamb in the holes and I have claimed up on my Electra Glide seat with no problems. I am 6'5 and 250 lb. Awesome for cleaning wheels too. I drove up and got it when Fuel Moto was doing my cams. They are only 5 miles apart. Super guy and made right on site in Wisconsin. Oh never a problem in 10 years either. A real workhorse. You will love the oil drain pan all 3 holes drain to one spot.

    Have had a J&S jack for many years. worked great on the Dyna wide glide,Heritage,Ultra,and the 79 lowrider. They also make slick adapters that work great on the same lift for Indian Vintage. You should shoot a quick video on how easily the jack picks up from the kickstand, and when you lower it how it lands softly on the kickstand and you do not have to hold onto anything. They gave it to ya free, give it a better look.

    Do they make a Dyna adapter kit?? Or will the cheesey, plastic Harley-Davidson Dyna kit work. The last lift I had, even with the adapter kit in place, the CG was way off balance. The bike was way tail heavy on the jack. When I finally got everything where it would semi balance, the bike was shaky and way iffy. I didn't trust it at all. Then, my Dyna sat so low, when I rolled the jack out from underneath it, The jack snagged the retainer spring for the kickstand and popped it off. I'm sure my neighbors thought I looked like a cub bear trying to fuck a football with all the wrestling and cuss words I was yelling, trying to keep the bike from pinning me under it... and getting the kickstand down. I never used that jack again... and the HD certified Dyna adapter kit is somewhere in the bottom of my tool box.

  • @Ten_Mil_Will
    @Ten_Mil_Will ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Sorry to necropost but... First of all - good looking jack! I'm currently looking for one and I think u just helped me find it 👍 Please excuse this stupid question - you mentioned positioning the safety catch arms then relieving pressure so that the weight rest on the little arms in the holes. Why? Why wouldn't you just position the arms, IN CASE it bleeds down, and leave the jack under pressure? I'm not suggesting your way is wrong, just the opposite, I wanna know why mine is.

    • @ProfessionalMonkey
      @ProfessionalMonkey  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! I don't think youre wrong at all, its just preference. I feel better that the jack is steel on steel instead of relying on hydraulic pressure. The catch arms could get knocked back and not be there when you need them, etc.

    • @Ten_Mil_Will
      @Ten_Mil_Will ปีที่แล้ว

      @ProfessionalMonkey Makes sense. Plus, the more I thought about it, your way puts less wear on the seals containing the pressure 👍

    I have the J&S Jack. Works great but if I leave the bike on it for the winter lifted up theres no way I can get it to work to bet the back down. It wont hold any pressure from sitting to long. Had to band the hydraulic cylinder with a hammer to unstick something before it would hold pressure. Customer service wouldn't reply. Was a good product at first. Not so much now.

      @@ProfessionalMonkey Yeah maybe has an air lock or low on hydraulic fluid or a sticky check valve. But I live in Canada so not shipping it back. Going to try and sell it. Works fine as long as you don’t leave a bike on the stand for a long time. I just use it to move my bike around.

    I have the same damm Craftsman thing. When I bought it in 2002 I thought, “I can clean my wheels now”. Terrible for a Dyna, scared me so bad under that thing. I had to use spacers and they eventually evolved into blocks of wood…it was terrible under a Dyna frame… …but, it kynna “works” under my touring bikes but… …I don’t trust it so , uh, no. I am likely to watch this whole ditty! 😅

    Question.. maybe you have had a video on this but I have not seen all your videos. I apologize if you already answered.
    I seen a HOG patched leather vest for sale on the FB Marketplace. Same area as you BTW. Is that smart for someone to buy not having been a part of the group and wear while riding? Is it smart for the seller also?
    I realized it's not selling a well known biker club jacket (HA, Mgul, etc) in which the answer is likely obvious.
