George Harrison,... Que Grande, Tu Guitarra Es Extraordinario junto a Tu Voz, ahora, Canta En El Cielo, Para Dios Santísimo..... Gracias por Tus Conciertos. D p. F.😊.
Its amazing how great George was playing live, such precise lead full of feelings, even Clapton could not reach on that level at this performance. I had no idea that George is such great singer as well as live guitarist.
If you guys haven’t seen it there is a movie from ‘79 called the birth of the Beatles. It’s probably faulty in some facts but it is a great show of their ruse to fame, struggles and losses on the way up. I think the story of the Beatles is worth a history book lesson. Preserve to the top and just cause you’re there doesn’t mean it’s easy street. The only thing that would truly break my heart is to know that these 4 Liverpudlian lads didn’t love each other through all of it.
Harrison wrote a few great songs and was a fairly average guitarist. "Brilliant" should be reserved to describe the Lennons and McCartneys of the world.
@@chipgaasche4933 If being lead guitarist of the Beatles makes you "fairly average" then heaven help the rest of the music world. He was understated, yes, but that was part of his brilliance.
Eric Clapton should be awarded a medal for getting George to tour Japan in 1991. Without this concert, we would not have an updated recording of George's classics played live by George himself. The live in Japan album is a must for any George Harrison fan.
I wish so much I could have seen him perform this song live in person. he was my favorite beatle, and this is my favorite song, probably of all time. RIP George, we miss you!
I saw his 1974 tour and he played this, but he changed the arrangement and except for the chorus it was unrecognizable. That was when he was rebelling against being a Beatle.
There are other great video from a concert, probably organised by Elton John, there along with Harrison there is Clapton , ringo star , Phil Collins, is Amazing !!! The Voice of #HeorgeHarrison was Perfect!!
I still think Harrison is one of the best to ever play. He showed us you don't have to go insane on the guitar and rip off wild solos in order to be incredible.
Think that was the biggest reason why I loved his guitar playing. Also, his sound was unique. There was beauty in the simplicity and each note so clearly played as if the guitar was singing words.
I love Clapton's solo after George reproduces the original part from the 'Abbey Road' version. Clapton really knows how to choose the right notes for emotional resonance.
George plays the original part because it's part of the song and people would miss it. But he is not bound to it note for note--he works in flourishes and variations that are actually quite good. His variations on the vocal melody are pleasing as well. And that was a pretty good solo from Clapton. Nice job!

What a beautiful new guitar intro George added for these live concerts. Eric terrific too, of course.
