This happened to a young girl in my town, meeting a person she thought was 16 after talking on the net, the man was near 50. She ended up being found dead on the beach. He used his 16 year old son to coax her. Warn your children about these predators.
It has a lot to do with parents bringing up their child… hearing them out and being protective and letting them know that they are loved plays a big role… still things might happen but it is better to be a good parent than not

It was a terrible interview and resulted in him getting probation rather than jail time. Amateur and needs a lot more interview training.
He should be allowed to talk as much as possible and get trapped in lies he can't get out of in court after he talks to his lawyer.
In Fairfield Connecticut charges were dropped against people, because of a lawsuit that one of the perpetrators sister filed. He committed suicide and she blamed the show for it, nevermind that he was caught trying to do horrible things with a minor.

Police do this to gain your trust and get you to confess. It’s not about being nasty to them for what they did. It’s about getting them to make a statement that will ensure the charges will stick. You could be a murder suspect and they’ll still get you coffee/food. It’s all results driven

The Flagler Beach Police Detective interviewing this guy, Liz Williams, (or Liz Lowe,) has since retired and famously began her career in Law Enforcement because, when she was 19, she was abducted, beaten, tortured and raped repeatedly over the course of several horrifying days by two men.
Events she now says she wouldn't have changed, because of the life she's been able to lead since, that would have been vastly different had it never happened.

Reminds me of a show I watched about a young girl I believe was working at a donut shop , she decided when she left work that night she was going to kill herself. When she's riding home on her a bike she got abducted, raped repeatedly and he actually let her go. She realized she wanted to live and became a police officer. I believe it was Bobby Joe long who let her go. He's an American serial killer and she's his only living victim.

Which in that case I agree they could have put him with someone more experienced. But I can imagine it was very overwhelming for her , these people are sick . It is shocking when I hear the handcuffed person complaining about “hurting.” They aren’t thinking of their victim’s pain.

When the situation sets in and they realize just how much trouble they're in they blabber hoping that by cooperating fully the punishment will somehow be less severe or lower the chances of there being any form of punishment at all. Some of the ones that have done this type of shit before are under the impression that "Hey, I can gaslight and groom minors pretty easily. I bet I can manipulate these detectives who just so happen to have access to the same fucking chat logs that got me in this situation to begin with".
