    Glad to know someone who can speak fluent korean and English to make useful videos for foreigners to understand Korean’s cultures and language better. 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻

    I really like your suggestion of focusing on one grammar point at a time and using it over and over again. As an older learner, I just can’t pick up languages as quickly as I used to and would feel overwhelmed when confronted with all the adjectival and verb endings that add so much nuance to sentences…so much so that I would simply give up. Your suggestion actually offers me hope! 그래서 정말 고마워요!

    I just found your channel! You make good content!
    I'm the same way as you. I've been learning Korean for two years and I just started practicing speaking. I kept wanting to learn more and more before I started speaking Korean. Eventually I realized that was just an excuse I was telling myself because I wasn't confident in speaking yet. Now that I've started practicing speaking I've learned more Korean in the last 3 months than in the entire 2 years of learning before that.

    The best way to learn any language is to get instruction in the classroom first to get a foundation and then build from there if you want speak any language properly.

    • @kind0fkorean
      @kind0fkorean  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I never had any formal Korean education until my third year or so learning Korean. Getting proper foundations from classrooms first would definitely help! But not the only way to learn a language properly I think.

    Love how down to earth you are ahaha😆 Anyway, this was really a helpful advice, sort of like a guide where and what to start from which I really appreciate. However I've started learning Korean a few years ago myself, just the basics like how to read, write, introduce myself, say hello/goodbye and some small phrases. Which is great but that's sort of where I stopped and didn't know if I was studying in a correct way. I have noticed the same thing with a few friends of mine who want to learn Korean and just stop because they don't know how to continue or what the next level would be. They lose interest quickly. Soo I was curious if you know of, or maybe recommend any good grammar books? Or in general some books that would be great to start with?
    PS I'd love to see more of your videos, great content :)

      I really appreciate this comment^^ Thanks for watching. For me, the 'Korean Grammar in Use' books were amazing. There are 3 levels, beginner, intermediate, and advanced. If you can get even through intermediate, your Korean will be pretty proficient. TTMIK free lessons are always really fun too in my opinion!

    I’m really into golf. It would be really cool to be able to communicate with the Koreans who practice at the driving range in their language. I don’t imagine they would accept me into their circle even if I were fluent, but it would be nice to open up new opportunities. There is a wealth of golf knowledge in Korea. I try to watch Korean golf videos and somewhat try to figure out what the golf pro is trying to explain in his or her video.
