upgrade the firmware and you'll see the option to use 10-bit in the settings menu

Around the 6minute mark does anyone find the standard 4k 60fps looks choppy/pixelated with a some noise, i’m viewing this on an oled tv tho? Hdr 4k 30 has better imagine quality less pixaleted and less noise

As usual, you do try to perform valuable tests so to show something significant ..😉 Well, as you know I am a Gopro owner..I was not so impressed by the DJI Osmo Action 3 10-Bit results you got....certainly I am very subjective also..🙃 Anyway you did great in that video to quiet DJI Osmo users and that is the point.😉

Ps, loved your thorough walkthrough, it’s set up and best settings! I have a DJI mini 3 pro and my pilot and cinematic skills are improving thanks to all your amazing tips! I have the Action 2 which is great for portability usage. House looks amazing too 😊

Great video as always Jake✌Dunno if it's just my idea, or youtube's bad compression but it's really missing detail and it seems a bit out of focus to me 🤔I'm more excited about the GoPro Labs firmware for the GoPro 11, outside of increasing the bitrate and changing the log curve, there's an option to turn off the automatic noise reduction and it gives such a great image and fine grain at low iso, it looks so good 👌I did a test and went as high as iso 1600, you do get a ton of noise but it's uniform and not blotchy like with the automatic noise reduction and then i cleaned it up using Neat Video in post and i was amazed by how great it looked. I used to never shoot over iso 400 with the GoPro cause it looked crappy...This firmware opens up a whole new world of possibilities 😁
Hey Alex, totally agree, there are moments where i see the details being a bit noisy, especially in the lower lighting environemts (indoors, shady spots) - thanks for the GoPro tips! So keen to shoot more Hero11 in the coming weeks, how are your plans coming along with MDC? Got some shots in mind for it?
@@JakeRichandAnnaChah 😁I'm doing some brainstorming of what i can do in Vienna cause i'm not traveling anywhere until the end of April, so i am a bit restricted.... I am thinking i could experiment with the night-modes, since they are new features and they mentioned they wanna see more of that. Will probably go to the amusement park at night and also shoot some of the famous buildings in Vienna with vehicle-lights mode, it could look cool! They also said they get very few timelapses, so if i catch an awesome sky in the city, i'll definitely gonna submit it. I love doing timelapses with the GoPro anyway 😍What are you and Anna planning this year?

I like the way this camera looks. How is stabilization at 24fps? Stabilization falls apart on GoPro at the lower shutter speeds. How about on the Osmo at 1/50 sec?
The stabilisation was on in every vlogging shot in this video, filmed in 4K 24, I think it’s pretty good

First of all, thank you both for your videos, I love the couple dynamics you bring to your content. We've got a trip to Orlando planned later this year and im looking to purchase an action camera. Based on price point in the UK im looking at the DJI Osmo Action 3. However I'm struggling to find any videos covering the camera's photo capabilities. I appreciate the standard photo quality and functions maybe less then it competitor, GoPro, but surely there's a way to use the video footage. I'm interested in your thoughts and any suggestions you may have. Is it worth spending the extra £100 to get the burst photo option and the higher MP?

@JakeRichardandAnnaChah - Hey can you please tell me which memory card you are using for Osmo action 3? I am using SanDisk extreme 128gb UHS-1 micro sd card. But everytime I start the camera, it says "memory card speed slow. Shooting may stop." And the shooting stops after 20seconds or so. I am not sure what should solve this issue. Can you please advise?
We use the same SD cards, so it might just be a faulty unit, send it back
Mate, I think your DJI camera is broken because it’s recording inverted based on the wheel on the right side.
Just received my Osmo Action 3. Perfect camera except for the FOCUS! Horrible! Updated firmware of course. The focus is a blur filter lol. Needless to say the unit is going back. Seems like a lens issue detailed in the DJI forum however, I'm not 🚫 messing with the hardware lens etc.
I have seen claims by people on other platforms that , the action 3 isnt really waterproof only water resistant .. That you have to have the watercasing on or itll die.. Any truth to that???
I am kinda wondering why only now the Dji action 3 is getting 10 bit colour when the GoPro 11 has had it since it came out 5 months ago and both cameras came out about the same time (within an hour of each other)
The firmware was updated in November 2022, it's just taken us ages to make this video :)

I dont care what they say about osmo 3 video looking soft . Its more cinamatic and ppl are to used that overly sharpened image that looks fake a shows every pore and scare in someones face lol cool video 4k 10 bit 120fos under water looked amazing.
Tbh you are right... I don't like the overly sharp images 😂 it seems to do that with new iphones etc

You can adjust sharpness on gp11 (it gives you more control). Gp11 captures definitely more details and has better stabilisation than oa3.
But this is a sport camera, i dont care 30fps a cienamtic look.

I really like my Osmo Action 3 but unfortunately I see nearly no difference between 8bit and 10bit. Before installing the update I hoped the improvement would be larger…
PS. I really like your videos! Just made some travel videos in the Caribbean Sea with my DJI Osmo Action 3 that are on my TH-cam-Channel.
In smaller monitors yes no different but in bigger monitors there's a different

@@Cinoo90 in every comparison I have seen with the two cameras, the GoPro shows more detail in for example…brick walls, stone, concrete, leaves on trees, etc…

Osmo Action 3 is a robust camera and probably the best action camera for its price.
Its an action camera... so as long as it can maintain a steady quality throughout the video and in all that action, I think it can be classified as a good product. Also the quality of shots here are genuinely good.
