This last 3 minutes from this video its what i want .But its 25 fps how about 30 .Will it be worse ? I am thinking about this cam or insta boost 4k as their firmware is upgraded and this camera can handle 4k60 for 1h .
30 frames isn't worse. Especially because we aren't adhering to the 180 rule. If you keep the shutter at 1/100, 30 or even 60 frames will look the same in terms of light
I am so glad you went out and tested again. i also learned it the hard way that 180 degree rule doesn't work with electronic stabilization at night. High shutter speed is the key when using anything EIS. as for day shoot, just need to find that balance between ND filter and shutter speed for the sweet motion blur.
I actually understood this best of all the other vids I watched. The way you presented it with the settings in the bottom left corner for reference as I watched the video is what worked for me. No need to watch any more of them. Thanks!
Alot of ppl are freaking out becuase they dont understand these things about a camera with a small sensor and returning it buying a gopro thinking its magically going to change. U still have to deal with low light not being the best in these action cams lol.
Agreed. Pro photographer here. 90% of these reviewers don’t understand lighting and sensors, and 99.9% of consumers have zero clue. I just bought a GoPro and FOR THE SENSOR size, it’s incredible. I’ll buy a pocket 3, but I’m not expecting miracles. No tool is perfect.
Rob nails it again -- ba-bang, what a wonderful instructional vid, well annotated and thought out. (and thanks for saving the promo until the end!). Looking forward to feelin' me some more Moto Feelz soon.
Looks much better. Did you also try to record with lower iso and faster shutter speed and then just make it a bit brighter in the post production? But generally I feel that it is okay if the image of a night shot is a bit darker... after all its night.
Have come a long way with usable Hi iso performance. you can only see the grain when viewing on a big screen. I also noticed a lack of colour saturation and dynamic range only when pushed to the limits. but what an improvement compared to other small sensor action cams only a year or so older.
Helpful, but why limit yourself by locking in your low shutter speed? You could run it higher at say 50fps and then render at 25 if you wanted. Having more frames to play with helps the stabilisation better compare each frame to the last and smooth out the image.
Rob! Another great video. I told my wife who is sitting here with me as I watched your video that if I had 3 wishes one of them would be that she spoke just like you but looked the same. I don't know why but she did NOT like that. So now I am in a bit of trouble, but that is not your concern! Keep it going! :)
Great video again, and good point on the QS. I know there are far less quality options for 60fps, but I wonder if you could give some thought to a video on 60fps, for the Osmo Action3, Insta360 X3 and DJI Mini Pro 3. I think that's the sweetest set of gear and they all support 60fps. If you could put something together on this it'd be really useful to me. Thanks mate.
Thanks for this video. Been trying to decide which camera to get. I'm going to Japan and will spend most of the time on the motorbike, riding day and night and want to record as much as possible. I was looking at the Action 4 adventure combo and the Insta 360 Ace Pro. The Action 4 was winning it mostly for value for money, with features and price all being better for me. I was also looking for cheaper options as I need a motorbike kit too, and saw the Action 3 adventure combo kit is still available for considerably less money meaning I could get that and a motorbike kit for less money than both the other two cameras. I was worried about the low light performance, but your video has reassured me it would be fine.
I just bought mine and apparently it's true. the auto setting somehow prioritize the light's coming in instead of shutter speed which is pretty much required for the stabilisation. my OA 1 kept the shutter speed at 1/60 even in in low light while OA 3 could go as low as 1/30. that's just super weird for action camera. you can change it in the setting, but still, average people with no knowledge of photography might never learn this and think that the camera is garbage tbh.
Can you do one for a daytime setting although I will be in and out off low light areas whilst mountain biking thanks and I will try your last setting on night rides 🎉
Great video, I'll try those settings on my next ride. On a different note, any suggestions on how to reduce the wind noise? I've tried the basics (noise reduction on and directional audio off) but still too much wind noise.
So this video finally convinced me. I've just now put my newly invested GoPro 10 oit for sale. It's just been a hassle for me using it. And it's also more expensive than the DJI Osmo Action 3. Thanks for the review s.
@@MotoFeelz Yeah they recently just updated the action 2 firmware so it embeds gyro data that you can use to run post processing on in a free software called gyroflow. It would mean you could film with rocksteady off at 1/50 and then stabilise it later on your computer. Appreciate it man!
Hello brother what do you suggest dji action 4 or dji action 3 ? I have a dji mic 1 and gropro... i would like to buy dji action camera but dont wants to buy mic 2 right now so pls suggest me which is better in video quality n worthy thanks
Hi there haven't been able to find information on this anywhere, but do you know if you can get log footage or log-like footage from the action 3? I colour code everything through dehancer in davinci and would really like the accessibility.
I want to put camera into car front glass and i need stabilization as my roads are disastrous hole after hole . Insta 360 but 4k boost will be fine for me ?
I have a problem. Using dji osmo action 3 recording in HDR setting. Then when i upload, later i check the setting after upload on youtube all i get 4k 2160p view not HDR. Why is this anyone help? Thanks
I guess it's just a matter of increasing your shutter speed when shooting Auto. Don't want to increase it too much though otherwise you'll loose the nice motion blur
@@MotoFeelz true that. Is there only 2 stabilised modes for the osmo action 3? Is it just rocksteady on and then off? There's no middleground like gopros boost/on/off?

@@RWPOV 哈哈哈,看來我們都在研究。
我這套用很久了
也配 dji mic 開dual mono
一顆放車廂 一顆放安全帽裡收音
Action 3
