Did we win anything with Barkley? Why pay tip dollar on a rb when you have holes all over? I would have let both jones and Barkley walk and really rebuild.
No, Jones having the football taken from him isn’t the most embarrassing moment for the Giants, let alone the NFL. Nor his tripping over his own feet. Naw, that dishonor belongs to the Giants and Pisarcik deciding to run a play while ahead at the end of the Eagles game in 1978 despite the Eagles having no way to stop the clock. Pisarcik fumbled the handoff and Herm Edwards picks it up and runs in for the TD. The Giants lost the game and were knocked out of playoff contention. This famous play is, of course, now known as the Miracle at the Meadowlands.
Honestly I wouldn’t have paid either. Jones didn’t wow me enough to pay him more than 30 million dollars a year and I wouldn’t have wanted to give him anymore than a 1 or 2 year “prove it deal”. If he refused I’d let him walk. Barkley wanted big money and while he was and still is really good, I don’t think paying a running back a big money, multi-year deal is wise considering once a back gets to 26, 27 you never know when their production can drop off precipitously. Since Barkley wanted both I likely would have let him walk. It seems like every year or so there is some guy like Todd Gurley or Le’Veon Bell who comes in and cements themselves as a top 5 back only for an injury to cause them to never be the same again. Giants should have let both walk unless they were willing to return at a reasonable price point for the amount of years they wanted.
This team is an absolute mess I’m not gonna lie it will probably be at least 5-7 years before we even make a meaningful push in the playoffs again. And that’s wishful thinking

How bad is Daniel Jones really? Really bad right now - but so is the rest of the team, not one stand out player except for Graham Gano, who is my bet for team MVP again this season.
The NFL doesn’t work like that anymore… once the rookie wage scale got put in place the advantage is with young quarterbacks who play elite before they get paid. Relying on your scenario to happen makes you the Geno Smith Seahawks.
Every NFL team THINKS they can improve a QB that sucks. I think the player either has it or he dont...and Jones don't. Nabers' career is already dead. Such a talented reciever with a sucky QB. Giants ain't going nowhere with Jones at QB
Lol so my friend was making fun of the cowboys all week cus they extended Dak.....but then he put money on the giants to beat the vikings and im like "how is the giants extending Danny Derps any better than Dak lol?"
Lets leave details out of the video. Giants have a long history of receivers dropping the ball, there are tons of games where in the 4th quarter he passes the ball to a receiver that if he would've catch it the game would end in a W. Many of Daniel Jones interceptions are drops from receivers. He used to have a problem with fumbling his first year but take into consideration the he was the most sacked QB that year besides Tampa Bay if I remember correctly. I am not saying he is top 10, maybe not even top 15, but he is way better than the media and people say. I've been watching every giants game without missing one since 2012, and he is not what media wants you to believe.
7:43 "horrendous interception" on 3rd and goal while needing a touchdown. What else are you to do? Pause the video at 7:44 and you can see Saquon is the only man in the camera where ball is thrown. His attempt to catch the ball was half-ass, just like this one-sided criticism/analysis is half-ass.

He’s rich. Handsome. AND YOU WILL NEVER PLAY IN THE NFL 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
lol well bro just lost me money on the steelers game, so he's beyond Trash smfh
I can't unhear how often TH-camrs say "would." It's such lazy, boring writing.
I been looking that interview for a long time with that rookie cb saying jones is a one read qb for ages
Their second SB run. 2016 was a playoff year.
This season for the Giants is going to be a very long one. I don’t think he will last the season, if Week 1 was anything to go by.
With such a huge market share how can they not get better players ?
Who’s Mark Nabers?
Giants must be tanking. They can't be that bad.
And now we lost to the panthers because how bad he is
It's easy to see why you would be happy after his rookie year, after that, though there's no reason to buy into him.
I wish everyone would forget what happened with Barkley the problem is you overpaid Jones and he isn't the guy at all
Honestly I wouldn’t have paid either.
None of this is his fault, he should have been like a 5th round pick 😂
So will he get less than 209 yards week 2 vs commanders?
So bad, that even though his names is Jones, he ain't keeping up with the Jones's in the NFL.
He wasn’t that bad till we paid him. Not worth 😢
Start of 3rd Quarter today and Jones is definitely not the answer.
This video felt like a long intro. It’s like if i asked do you like ice cream and you just list all the flavors and their origin story.
I agree 100 percent
This team is an absolute mess I’m not gonna lie it will probably be at least 5-7 years before we even make a meaningful push in the playoffs again. And that’s wishful thinking
I wouldn't have signed either. Barkley had far too many injury questions while playing the most injury risk positions, and Jones is bad.
They did not choose jones over Barkley. Jones sucked and I hated resigning him but it wasn’t one or the other I hate that rhetoric it’s such a casual take
It's not Nabers responsibility to get hurt helping Jones
Barkley got offers he turned down. He grew up in Philly, went to Penn State, NEVER wanted to be a Giant.
The only good thing Jones is good at is landing Kay Adams. I now know I have a chance with Kay if she is willing to give this guy a chance.
i was on jones side for a few years, i had to believe gettleman had a plan. he didnt. i used to give jones leeway because of the duke receivers.....cant anymore. hes a backup at best and id say 3rd string or used like taysom hill
Daniel Jones should be the third back up
The experiment is over. He's not eli. And even if he was his surrounding cast is not who eli had around him. I fear we're in for another rough one....
Wow this aged terribly
The Giants made it to the playoffs in the 2016 season… Sir.
Answer: worse than you think
Looking like Eli Manning doesnt equal playing like Eli Manning😂😂😂 as a Cowboys fan Eli Manning was sometimes the scariest QB me and my husband had to think of twice a year some years. But Daniel Jones has been easy wins 😂😂😂
Then he threw a pick 6 interception today on a receiver screen
How bad is Daniel Jones really? Really bad right now - but so is the rest of the team, not one stand out player except for Graham Gano, who is my bet for team MVP again this season.
Dont laugh but what if he turns into the second version of Phill Simms. Simms was brutal for 7 seasons...he eventually won a super bowl
The NFL doesn’t work like that anymore… once the rookie wage scale got put in place the advantage is with young quarterbacks who play elite before they get paid. Relying on your scenario to happen makes you the Geno Smith Seahawks.
160M. That’s a lot of money
Every NFL team THINKS they can improve a QB that sucks. I think the player either has it or he dont...and Jones don't. Nabers' career is already dead. Such a talented reciever with a sucky QB. Giants ain't going nowhere with Jones at QB
Sniff..... Thats my quarterback.......
You damn right
Lol so my friend was making fun of the cowboys all week cus they extended Dak.....but then he put money on the giants to beat the vikings and im like "how is the giants extending Danny Derps any better than Dak lol?"
He had 19 fumbles in a year
Lets leave details out of the video.
Exactly! The sheeple are gonna think however the media tells them...smh

Update this after week 1.
he's a great athlete. he lacks leadership skills and strategy.
cant wait to watch!
Bro a fumble machine.
