We used to live near Ft Niagara and we took the family a couple of times a year. Love the history and my son loved the cannon being fired. It's also said to be HAUNTED!!! 👻
Been to South Bass Island many times. It was interesting to be on Perry's Monument.

Water allows people to transport a lot of people and things fast.
The USS Ticonderoga sits outside rotting under a gazebo, in Whitehall, New York. 6 men died on that ship and it will be sitting outside this winter.
