Strange that your feet hurt. I train in Torin 6's and I raced a 42k in Vanish Carbon Two's......and was blown away at how comfortable they are. For me, the Carbon Two is easily the best road shoe made by Altra since the Torin4's. I wish they'd make a Vanish Tempo Two using the same unstructured heelcup as the Carbon Two's.
I have a long history of painful feet. Overpronation, tight muscles, inflamed fascias all causing me grief. I honestly believe that Altra has helped me run pain free for the past couple of years. But some models just don't do my feet any good and I feel it the next day. This usually happens when I use shoe with a drop or have too much stack height.
Runrepeat shows theyre more like a 3mm drop and pitentislly not quite the advertised 36mm stack. Very soft foam under the plate a little strange and interesting. I find them very comfortable. But i do get the torin 5/6 midaole softness vibes ~ upper of the 6 agitates me somewhat

I’ve previously put about 150 miles on my Altra Experience Form and after testing these vanish carbon 2s, they also hurt my feet as well 🤔

I'm waiting for the price to go down. Hopefully, it's going to be the fist (full plate) carbon shoe that fits my Roman foot.
