I'm currently planning on making the Starfinder Society one of the secondary antagonists on my campaign. My party is basically a group of greedy space pirates, so it makes sense they would enter in direct and indirect conflict with the "good guys" (specially since the campaign envolves big corporations of the Pact Worlds colonizing another galaxy and collecting its resources). I'm even making the first personal antagonist of the bunch be a corrupt Starfinder who uses the society as an excuse to be a self-interested murderer who just cares about the legendary treasure (McGuffin of the campaign) and is completly fine with using a few bullets to deal with that "filthy pirate scum" if they get in his way. So... having said that, thank you for provinding me more info about the Starfinder Society, helps me make them a bit more real in their motives and actions, and it also helps me getting ideas for new plot points involving them.
I've been looking for good consistent starfinder content for a while now. Which TH-cam seems to be seriously lacking. But, now I've found you! Keep up the great work!

Great SF Lore video! But now I have 100+ more questions lol. Like do you need the coordinates of Absalom Station to even travel there via the Drift in the 1st place?
@@jrock-hk7rm it can yes, although in some instances like the jinsul they were locked away behind an energy barrier and couldn't get out until recently.
@@TheMapleTable I've always wondered that cause none of the core books go into the factions, etc. However, it seems like it's designed to be a part of the overarching story. It's just weird, from a publishing point of view, to nest it all in the Society Play books.
@@aaronlirette1336 its not all in there, the core books do cover some of this. Also the adventure paths have lots of hidden gems too but its all very spread out.
@@TheMapleTable that's why I really like your episodes cause it takes a lot of disparate information and puts it all in one location. I often wish that info was more centralized. Paizo is way better than White Wolf/CCP/Onyx Path/By Night Studios/I can't keep up with the company changes anymore.
@@aaronlirette1336 i have had no interaction with onyx and companies, and limited interaction with folks in Paizo. I have heard nothing but good thimgs from others who have more dealings with Paizo than me which is always a good sign. I will say that each company and game offers a different experience :p
Fun fact, the Starfinder Society doesn't let you keep yopur XP on pre-gen characters and you have to keep playing level one's until you get a book and make your own :( What? Too meta?
You can apply the XP from a pre-gen you use in a Scenario to a Society Character you've created (or a future character you create). Just have the GM fill out the Chronicle sheet.

no not really, the starstone is one of the strongest signals in the universe. Almost everyone knows how to get to Absalom Station.

From my research, yes. Its an ongoing story world that is evolving with those involved in the society play.
