2016 CVO Road Glilde: I took your suggestions seriously on a friend's motor that I maintain for her. It shudders at anything above 20 mph or so. At 80 mph, it shudders a lot. One cannot feel the shuddering in the brake lever. No, one feels it in the whole motorcycle. Nonetheless, I removed the front calipers and squeezed the brake lever slightly. Sure enough, the same piston extended before the others. NOW, with no rotor onto which the brake pad would be up against, I'm not sure that this is actually a good diagnosis of the issue. But I went ahead and cleaned the pistons as best I could and worked them back and forth, squeezing the lever and then pushing the pistons back home by hand all the while cleaning with brake cleaner. Yes, I seemed to have made the brake pistons operate more similarly to each other and thought it may have fixed the motorcycle shuddering. But no joy. It didn't fix anything. The pistons push the pads very similarly to the pad, but the shuddering actually happens when the pads are FIRMLY onto the pads. So I decided to take your advice again and get a couple of front brake caliper rebuild kits. I was informed that they're not available. They're right! I looked up the rebuild kit and found that it doesn't exist! So I finally returned the motor to her with the shuddering still just like it was when she brought it to me. I'm really disappointed. Below 20 mph, no shuddering at all, no matter how hard one brakes (front or rear). Above 20 mph, very noticeable and annoying motorcycle shudder. I'm at my wits end. Ken
If you’re able to answer this that would be much appreciated. I have a 2023 row glide with 178 miles. I put 14 inch rotors and finally took it for a ride and when I hit the front brake it shutters real bad. Like a high-speed vibration. It was fine with the stock rotors and at 160 miles I changed the rotors. So on the first ride when I was coming to a stop and I hit the front brakes the vibrating like crazy. They are floating rotors and I installed them correctly. The rotors new float also. And the bike has ABS. Well anyway if you can help with some tips that would be great. I’m gonna try what you showed in the video also. thank you very much! Mike D
I’ve been running down this issue for a long time, thank-you for the suggestions!

I am having this same issue on my 2022 Road Glide.
Have you found any solutions?
Test the rotor runout with a dial. Mine was way out. I just purchased the bike new this January. Crappy OEM parts.

Hi Mike where are you based
Thank you sir. I have the same problem.👍
Thank you, will be trying it soon.
What kind of lube did you say to put on pistons ?
Just general penetrating oil , hope it helps
@scenewithchips8993 IF your pressing pistons in after pulling brake lever, are you taking cap off that brake fluid goes in 1st ?
Could be worn floating disk I do believe….my street bob does it and I’ve rebuilt my calliper twice …
Same with interceptor 650
Same with my 2009 fz. The dealer says both. the rim and disc are bent but it actually turned out to be what this legendary old man is stating.
Great video and suggestion. I didnt want to have to spend the kind of money on the rotors!
Glad I was able to help 👍👍
💯
"not on Sportsters".................A lot of Sportsters and big twins use the same callipers ya plank.
