    Best brake replacement video, good lighting, audio and no constant annoying music, saving this one!

      Thank you, I appreciate that! I'm just a shade tree mechanic, so as always refer to your manuals too!

    Nicely done with good information. I won't be replacing my rotors myself, but this video tells me what to look for before and after the replacement .

    Very good job, concise and to the point. I’m afraid I have a runout issue as well and will follow your video to R&R my rotors and pads too.

    Friendly advice. Hand thread all bolts on the wheel at once. Then tighten, hopefully not experiencing the washer being misaligned.

    My brake caliper on the bolt side will not fit into position, not enough room to get it in the bolt on position... any ideas about how to make that work?

    Thank you for video. Was your vibration when you applied brake or without braking? I’ve had brake vibration on 2020 road glide limited between 65 and 75 mph. Dealer replaced rotors, pads, and hardware on front wheel and all was good. Also replaced both tires due to wear. 4000 miles later, same vibration is back. Taking back to dealer shortly. Just wondering if problem is similar to yours. Thank you.

    Perfect!…the way I like to see and understand!
    Q: No need for lock-tight on any of the bolts?

    • @motorcycleryder9489
      @motorcycleryder9489  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The single use rotor bolts have a factory applied thread locker. The rest don't require any per my shop manual. Consult your bikes manual of course! Ride safe ✌️

    So, which "side" is better?
    The left, or the right?

      Glad you enjoyed the video! I use a Craftsman 3/8, and a Snap-On 1/2 torque wrench.

    Both my clips came out and if it wasn't for my light wires I would have lost my bag, unfortunately it damaged the lid only

    Are the rotors supposed to have some play?

    Great tips thanks much. what size are the rotor bolts?

    • @motorcycleryder9489

      The bolts are a unique design specially for mounting the rotors. They should be available at your local dealership, I don't have the specs.

    Very good video. Does the wheel need to be balanced after replacing the rotor?

    • @motorcycleryder9489
      @motorcycleryder9489  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've never had too, I think the replacement rotors are relatively well balanced. However, with that said I guess it could be possible to get a balance issue after install. Your test ride before and after replacement would reveal that information. Good luck and ride safe!

      Thats why I like to run "Ride On" in my tires , continually balances the wheel / tire through out it's life , and no ugly wheel weights .

    Saw this video after the fact.
    How much of a mistake did I make facing my rotors with the part# facing inward?
    Is it a matter of life and death that they face outward or is this something that can slide?

    • @motorcycleryder9489
      @motorcycleryder9489  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If your rotors are the same as mine, you will likely be ok. If they are the old style with pockets for the bolt heads, or if they are directional it could be a problem. I would advise calling your local dealership to see if it makes any difference on your particular setup. Ride safe, and good luck!

      Thanks.
      These are non directional and the don't have the receded part for the bolt like the original.
      These new ones have a smaller 3.5" diameter bolt vs the original was closer to 5.5".

    The Vibration issue is because of your tires. Michelin Commander 3 are junk they cause the vibration...

  • @antdx316
    @antdx316 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Vibration on braking or riding?

    • @motorcycleryder9489
      @motorcycleryder9489  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There were 2 vibrations felt, one under breaking and one was related to a bad Michelin Commander 3 front tire.
