    Dude, you always amaze me. I was a sales engineering manager for decades with technical people selling enterprise software, and I see how you provide the real technical info that allows me to learn what's really under the hood of these systems more than pretty much any others. I learn a ton from you every time I watch. The details you provided here is unbelievable, comparing and contrasting functions.. unbelievable!!!

    4:13 Roland Bridge Cast X -
    Dual PCs:
    If you use one PC for gaming and another for streaming and chatting, BRIDGE CAST X has you covered. The USB II port provides audio and video integration for a single-cable connection to your streaming computer. The USB I audio and HDMI ports support a variety of connection options for a second computer, including HDMI throughput to a dedicated video monitor.

    This was a FANTASTIC! video. It solved my confusion by explaining every aspect of routing that the people at RODE do not do. I am not an audio expert (more novice) and this video actually trained me with the details I needed to hear in order to understand how to use my Streamer X. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! RODE Should feature this video on their website right next to their on-line Streamer X User Guide.

    I love that you’re getting random gear now. Your reviews are the best on TH-cam and the editing work is great. And it seems like at least Rode has discovered this now 🎉

    Great video, quick question would the Atamos Ninja V monitor and recorder allow you to bypass the 30 FPS issue? Or would face detection be impacted regardless?

    This is the review I needed. I have this device and that info about the 4k 30 fps vs 24fps was super helpful as I also have a ZV E10... Thanks for this killer video! I just subbed.

    Great and informative video. As a solo creator, the Rode Streamer X was what I needed; works just great with rode central. Now I have started to use Unify, I must say, just like you said, the Unify software although complex does push the device a long way away from the raw hardware. Thanks for the video.

    I own both the RØDE StreamerX and the Lewitt CONNECT 6. As this video rightly points out, both of these devices offer Dual USB-C audio interfaces, which is VERY cool because it enables you to send your microphone output to two different comptuters. This is critical to me because I'm a remote worker and want to use my XLR mic with both my work and personal PCs. I can confirm that this is possible using both the StreamerX and the CONNECT 6.
    That said, why do I own both the StreamerX and the CONNECT 6? What's more, why am I choosing to use the CONNECT 6 as my "daily driver" audio interface instead of the StreamerX?
    HINT: It's not for any of the reasons mentioned in this video ;-).
    I bought the StreamerX first because it gets so many things right - a physical mute button, HDMI video capture, pads - what's not to like? Notably, the CONNECT 6 doesn't offer any of these features. Nevertheless, despite the StreamerX's DSP features, it lacks one killer feature that the CONNECT 6 does have: auto setup. Moreover, auto setup works very well on the CONNECT 6.
    On the CONNECT 6, auto setup will ask you to speak into the microphone for 10 seconds in order to properly adjust input gain and setup any dynamic processing. This is huge, and it's why I now own and use the CONNECT 6 while the StreamerX mostly sits on a shelf collecting dust (notably, I still like the StreamerX too much to sell it on eBay...because it is quite good...but it's lack of auto setup is a huge oversight).
    I can configure a physical mute button on my Stream Deck, I already own a discrete USB HDMI capture device (Roland UVC-01), and I don't really need the pads thanks to my Stream Deck - meaning, I can pretty easily mitigate the CONNECT 6’s shortcomings.
    On the other hand, the CONNECT 6's auto setup is a killer feature that can’t currently be replicated on the StreamerX. Notably, I also find the CONNECT 6’s software to be more intuitive than Rode’s UNIFY software…and that’s a quality of life factor that’s continuously in play.
    If the StreamerX ever gets a firmware update enabling an auto setup feature comparable to the CONNECT 6's auto setup, then I think the StreamerX will be a nearly perfect audio interface for my purposes. However, until that time comes, the CONNECT 6 will continue to be my primary audio interface.

    • @PodcastMeister
      @PodcastMeister  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you for the comment! Actually, you can set up live calls easily with both Røde Central and Unify: just set the Streamer X‘s audio setup to „Video Call“ in Røde Central and Streamer X as your audio input/output in the comms app of your choice and you‘re good to go, the mix-minus is applied.
      Same thing in Unify, there you would set „Røde Unify Chat“ as the Audio Input/Output and you‘ll have mix-minus automatically.

    Dear, The way you tell and explain things, and yes, the things you show on your devices is important and that is also a very nice contribution and also useful, but the way you tell, it is as if I can follow a film through your telling and even see the film, without actually seeing the film. That is very special, not everyone can do this.
    I also have a Rodecaster and a Rodecastes duo and other things like that and I use everything together and with each other, together with guitars and singing and flutes and piano, so I am also a bit at home in that and that makes it easy for me to follow what you show.
    But the way you tell is a nicer and bigger contribution to all this that you share.

    Should the two physical knobs control the slider in the mixer? It only adjust the gain in the settings and the volume but doesn’t show it on either central or unify

    Greetings. I remember there were many videos about connecting an iPhone jack to record remote calls. The RC Pro2 does not do that. RC Duo has a jack input for connecting iPhone jack. What about streamer x? I see a headset jack. Can I plug my iPhone into this jack and record a remote podcast???? I would appreciate your experiment. Thanks in advance.

      You can (it works like a standard USB-audio interface in that regard), but you don‘t need to, as it has plenty of clean gain to drive any microphone.

    If possible, please help me choose one of the products . Monitor 360hz 540hz 580hz playing game dou PC

    • @PodcastMeister
      @PodcastMeister  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, it really depends on your needs:
      I wouldn‘t vote for the GoXLR, as the others can manage 2 computers simultaneously out of the box. (The DLZ XS handles the second computers audio via NDI, bear that in mind)
      The Bridgecast, the RC Duo and the DLZ XS are audio only, while the StreamerX and the Mackie Mainstream have video capabilities too. In that regard, the Mainstream seems a little more flexible, but its software (Mackie Matrix) isn‘t quite ready, still in beta and only for Windows as of now. So if you want an all-in-one audio/video solution that takes as little desk space as possible and has solid accompanion software right now, go with the Røde StreamerX.

    Streamer X is one of my biggest mistake purchases. Never have I experienced so many software and hardware failures (connected to Apple Silicon). Especially on the video side. Streamer X is an alpha product. After 5 months with incredibly poor response from Røde support, I sent the product back. Back on Elgato Cam Link 4K and bought a Vocaster One.

      @eeemir_official in all honesty all i had to do was just use the streamer x... I now have no use for the roadcaster duo. I wish this was all explained in the products. You cant plug the duo directly into the ps5 without it getting those odd noises... but you can plug the streamer x and it just works!
