Brandon Malong FYI, the instructions say to have the car turned ON BEFORE plugging in the unit & the car ON when DISCONNECTING the unit. May have worked better you guys !
I guess you have a error that is either causing the reader not to read. One of the devices is faulty and shorting out as I have the same and connected it to a vw touran. The only problem is the tool does not read VW. I think it is a different protocol.
getting this with a '99 dodge ram 1500, is it just an error on the tool's part? I guess I need to try some other tools before assuming the OBD port is bad or smth

So, what was the point of this video? Did you figure out what was wrong? Was the tool defective? I have a '99 Pontiac Montana and it's never done THIS before, until today! My van cranks but won't start and I was "hoping" that I could get some kind of reading to figure out what's wrong, but nope, I'm getting the same code you did.

On vw it's working but on cars with 9141-2 it's not and that's toyota

It is a 9 pin and need a 11 pin adapter
