    This guy walks up up the side of a trailer, walks along the top edge, pushes off, walks along the back of a pickup truck, pushes off, balances on the top of a wooden post. HE'S HOVERING AND CONTROLLING ALTITUDE IN HIGH, GUSTY WIND THAT KICKS UP SAND.
    Dell Schanze talks trash and backs it up big time! MIC DROP!☺
    Simply the best I've ever seen.

      @@mcbrite Actually I've watched Mike Kung quite closely. He is lacking quite a few of the basics. While he is a skilled acro pilot those are tricks that have very little to do with glider control and flying a glider in a stall is totally and completely different from controlling it while it's flying and preventing it from stalling. So while he can do some tricks if you compare actual skills vs actual skills of brand new SUPER students you will start to see he is missing a bunch of pieces. That's quite common actually as people don't just pick them up over time. If you didn't learn correctly up front with SUPER training the odds are you will just keep doing it wrong. Thinks like him kiting with risers and so many other things that are just not correct or optimal. So instead of just talking trash in your ignorance perhaps try the intelligent approach and start looking at actual specifics.

      @@DellSchanze . I liked your video tutorials where you teach students how to fly a paraglider with only one suspension system, without the help of hands. I have not seen anything like this from any other trainer. I also like your playful approach to training. We need to play with a wing, make friends with it, tame it and don't be afraid of him (Sorry for my English).

    • @DellSchanze
      @DellSchanze  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually it's not the edge of chaos. It's not even remotely at the edge of control. Only at the edge of maintaining position. If the winds pick up another 15-25 mph it won't cause any loss of control just loss of position as I will start sliding down wind at say 20 mph. It's like kite surfing. Doesn't matter how fast I'm sliding the control is still the same when you have SUPER skills. These skills are ONLY taught at SUPER training though so people should not be trying to fly without real actual SUPER training. Call 800-707-2525 and do it the right way.

  • @pkskyter

    Great skills!!🙂 I would have liked to see the whole landing up to wing pack up rather than cutting it off at the touch down point. For my own learning benefit I'd like to see the ground handling technique in strong winds with the motor on your back. I'm pretty proficient with free flying in strong winds but am quite a bit less mobile with the motor on my back so turning around after the landing and collapsing the wing and gathering it up is a lot harder with the motor. Even the actual take off with the reverse launch on the ground and then taking off would be of great learning benefit...please 🙂

    • @DellSchanze
      @DellSchanze  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The only way to really learn the mastery level skills is to take SUPER training. You don't really learn the true skills by watching a video as you won't really see what it is you think you are seeing. Things like being able to reverse kite no hands and hundreds of other little details are absolutely critical and they are not really taught outside of SUPER training specifically. Turning back around in super high winds takes many many details of control and everything is backwards to what you think you know. Just call 800-707-2525 and take SUPER training no matter your current skill or experience level. It would change the whole sport for you if you take the time to learn the mastery level skills and get a Flat Top & Dominator. Both gear and skill are absolutely critical. We have tons of videos of flying paramotors in super high winds but without SUPER training you won't really be able to see or understand the details of why it's so easy for us. It's like watching a Bruce Lee movie and thinking you can pick up master skills from it. Just doesn't work that way. I really want to help which is why I've taken the time to explain. Try it and see.

    How do you correct your glider if you get into a steep spiral dive?

    • @DellSchanze
      @DellSchanze  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Dominator will correct automatically for you if you just let go of the controls. To do it manually or to make it happen faster you brake to stop the rotation and then both brakes to round out faster. So if you are spiraling to the right you would hit pretty hard left brake just enough to stop yourself completely from going to the right. Then use both brakes to round out faster as you swing under the glider. Of course with the Dominator you have to hold the brake to stay in the spiral in the first place so you are only going to be in that hard spiral if you pulled lots of brake and then held it really hard. If you just let off the brake it would immediately recover. I have a video on this actually somewhere.

    Not to have a helmet on, even if you have good skills shows poor judgment. I have been flying paragliders speed wings for 30 years, pilots with much better skills than mine have been seriously hurt by overestimating their skills and the conditions.

    • @DellSchanze
      @DellSchanze  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thinking you know more than the best in the world shows very poor judgement. Actually try to tell the best in the world they show poor judgement is really bad judgement. Whining about having a helmet over sand is seriously irrational. Being completely ignorant to the fact that you are more likely to have lines snag a helmet and snap your neck and then pretending like the best in the world shows poor judgement by knowing what they are doing and having knowledge of the sport and actually making ridiculous comments from sheer ignorance is total foolishness. If you want to wear a helmet not knowing the dangers of helmets that's your ignorance but telling the best in the world to do something stupid makes no sense. There is a time and place for helmets. On a sandy beach with the best skills in the world and the best & safest glider in the world... seriously dude? What also shows incredibly poor judgement are sooo many pretending they know how to speed fly when they don't have even the most basic skills themselves. How about SHOW a video of these supposed pilots kiting up a pole? Can they do it? If not they don't have a real mastery of glider control and shouldn't be flying through rocks and canyons while pretending they are safety minded because they wore a helmet that can snag lines and snap their neck.

    You edited out the part where you had to wrestle that glider out of the sky and to the ground. I'm sure it didn't jump into it's bag while you tried to unbuckle. You almost need ground handling lines on the wing for the ground crew like the Zeppelins and hot air balloons have.

    • @DellSchanze
      @DellSchanze  5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Ah yea I just handed the wing tip to the camera man which is why there isn't any video of it. When in high winds like that we just drop the glider into the wind shadow of the trailer or a vehicle so it's really not difficult as long as you have true and real glider control skills. You can also disable it in the wind no problem but in that much wind you will make a bit of a mess of the glider doing it so it's better to use the wind shadow so you can put the glider away nice and neat without any tangles.

I brought it to your attention so you could possibly take it out, it's there everybody can hear it 234 in the video...

    • @DellSchanze
      @DellSchanze  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you were "spirit filled" then why can't you perform miracles or even receive quick, obvious and immediate answers to prayers? Why can't you speak with sure knowledge and power from God? It's not "condemning" you to share the honest truth and facts with you. Instead you should be happy to learn that these things really do exist and while you don't have them now you actually can receive these things if you do actually seek for the truth sincerely. If you watch the video with an open mind it's quite simple to find the terms I use regularly as I use the same ones over and over so your misinterpretation isn't hard to research as you can hear me use the term I normally use quite often through my many videos. Never anywhere can you hear me use the term you suggest and people do get in habits to use the same terms over and over. So the fact that you can never ever hear me use the term you suggest anywhere else ever makes it clear that what I actually said was gosh. When you gain the gift of the Holy Ghost you will then be able to perceive these things through the spirit though and understand who and what type of person you are dealing with quite immediately. Same reason I know all this about you without possibility of error. Sadly you don't understand the scriptures you pretend to follow because you don't listen to or follow the spirit of God. Same reason the scriptures go on and on about temples but you know nothing about them let alone understand their purpose or know of their existence. Would you like to? This is not an attack on you this is a simple statement of true and real actual fact which you should be very happy to learn about since you have been missing it your whole life and have never actually been baptized or received these ordinances. Listen to the Holy Ghost that confirms the words I'm sharing with you and seek to follow that spirit instead of your own ideas. Then you can always be right and correct as the spirit is never wrong.

    • @DellSchanze
      @DellSchanze  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just be honest with yourself for a second. Do you have the same power and authority as Elijah who called down fire from heaven? Nope. So you are not actually a disciple of Christ and don't have the gift of the Holy Ghost or the priesthood or you could in fact do exactly as Elijah did or any of the other disciples of Christ written about in the scriptures. Would you like to? Again think about that. That exact same power and authority from God exists on the earth today and you can indeed attain it if you simply seek sincerely to find and know this truth. Since you have zero power or authority from God what so ever and cannot perform miracles why then go about claiming to be a preacher? You could be offended by that truth or you could see the incredible blessing you just received in learning that this does exist and it is actually possible for you to attain it as the true gospel of Jesus Christ has in fact been restored to the earth along with all of the keys of the priesthood. Miracles are performed all over the world today just as we did all through the scriptures. Seek and ye shall find. How do I know you don't have the gift of the Holy Ghost? How can I be so incredibly 100% sure of this? When you receive it for real you will then KNOW exactly how I KNOW and KNOW just how incredibly clear it is who has it and who doesn't. Feel free to email me directly at ppghero@gmail.com or call me at 800-707-2525. I am not offended in the slightest at your misinterpreting what I said and I'm actually glad that you would speak up about it despite actually being wrong about it in this instance. In reality we really shouldn't even say things like gosh. It would be great if more people were sensitive to this as it really is important.

      @@friarrodneyburnap4336 It has to do with the fact that I didn't but that you actually do by pretending to follow God when you really don't fine sir. Yes man CAN in fact perform miracles as the power of God is given to man in the form of the priesthood and the gift of the Holy Ghost. The disciples of Christ perform miracles all through the scriptures. Nope it's not God performing the miracle but them using the power God has given them in the form of the priesthood. So here you see a major issue where you completely distort the truth because you don't understand it and don't have the power of God so no you can't perform miracles. Yes you still call yourself a preacher despite the fact you have no power or authority from God what so ever. MILLIONS in the one true church are performing miracle all over the world today just as we did all through the scriptures. If you had the gift of the Holy Ghost you wouldn't make such errors in understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It's truly incredible to have the gift of the Holy Ghost because you can then type as fast as your fingers can move and never once make a mistake in principle or doctrine. Wouldn't you like to follow God for real? Wouldn't you like to receive immediate and obvious answers to prayers? Would you like to have the power to perform miracles just as all true disciples of Christ can do? Why continue to bear false witness claiming I said something that I didn't instead of just seeking to follow God and truly listen to the Holy Ghost that confirms these words to anyone that sincerely would like to KNOW? You can indeed be a true disciple of Christ with exactly the same power and ability as the disciples of Christ who performed miracles all through the scriptures. It makes little sense to continue bearing false witness instead of just seeking the truth as God has commanded. Seek and ye shall find is more than just a promise. It's also a commandment that you do need to actually seek for this truth.

      Actually I could kite an extra large in that much wind without losing control. Having too much wind just means you are going backwards it should never mean you lose control. As long as you have SUPER skills even a 50mph gust shouldn't mess you up. It might yank you off the ground 150 ft but then you just fly right back down and land no problem. Been there done that. torramond giantsbain about the cheapest you could possibly do it would be about $5000 that’s with a used motor and wing bought second hand not through a school, cheap lest training you can find, second hand gear and used rescues chute. How much is your life worth to you?

    • @DellSchanze
      @DellSchanze  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Gkitchens1 You definitely don't want to buy cheap gear from an end user as you don't know what you are getting. We have over 50 used gliders to choose from that we go through and make sure are all in perfect working order and some are as low as $500. Same with paramotors. We have them as low as $2500. The huge reason you only go through me though is for the experience in knowing exactly what gear would be best for you. That's priceless and I don't charge one bit for that experience. Many people are now dead because they didn't listen to experience. Just picking which gear to get is literally the most life & death critical choice in the sport and not one to make on your own without expert supervision.

    • @Gkitchens1
      @Gkitchens1 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dell Schanze amen to that. I wanted to rush things and get in in s budget but I don’t want to die to save a grand buying from someone just to find out the wing doesn’t really hold 220 pounds or that motor has 199 hours not 19. Oh wait this reserve is actually a watermelon not a parachute!
      Nah I’d rather save and do it right. And sure I have a local school that only charges $1200 for training but when I get it I want to walk away knowing I can handle nearly any curve ball thrown my way. I’ve never been a risk taker and getting into ppg will be a huge huge risk, I want to minimize it as much as I can. Buying a chute out of some Craigslist basement is not risk management, it’s risk invitation. And I know all the schools go back and fourth talking smack with you but if you teach people to kite like THIS people outta be paying more attention. Don’t care what joe blow says. Actions speak louder.

    • @DellSchanze
      @DellSchanze  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Gkitchens1 It is interesting how some people's natural reaction is to think they can save money buying off ebay and stuff but in reality my prices being pretty much the same or even less than joe blow is not even close to what it actually saves you. I literally just talked to a guy today who bought a MacPara Charger only to find out it's a totally uncertified death trap and now all that money went right out the window. It was nice to see his response was not "oh I'll just resell it" but an honorable response of "how can I honestly sell it now knowing it will literally get someone killed"? I don't get that honorable response very often sadly. So it's not even so much about what you pay for what you get but about knowing exactly what you really should buy vs what's going to be a total waste of money. I charge nothing for my input so even if someone was looking at something on ebay they really should call me anyway to just talk about what it is and how much and how that would be for what it is they want to do. I talked to a 78 year old guy a bit ago who had been sold an Ozone Spider which again is a hoaxflex death trap they call reflex which can't pass ANY level of safety certifications in hoaxflex death trap mode which is totally and utterly worthless for him. Plus they sold him a paramotor so heavy and old he literally wouldn't be able to lift it let alone run with it. Had he talked to me I would have told him that at that age he should buy nothing at all but instead wait until he tries the training just to see if he can actually do it first. The truth does actually make sense. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know the difference between sales pitch and honesty. Telling a guy in his 80's "buy my gear and I'll train you for free" is a total blatant lie because the odds that a guy in his 80's could actually attain true and real skills is near zero yet total scamming liars out there use that lie all the time to get people's money and then screw them over. Sadly most don't want to talk about how they got scammed because they feel stupid for letting it happen. So they hide the facts only to let others get scammed in the very same way. So at least talking to one with experience and understanding you can get a much better feel for what's what.

      @@MarkLoves2Fly So the US National Glider Control Champion says it's gusty and gets blown over the back of the trailer because of a huge gust but then you try to suggest it wasn't gusty? Do you suppose I just buried the brakes to drag myself over the trailer on purpose? Then after you argue with experts and don't listen to facts, logic, reason or even direct first hand eye witnesses you then suggest that saying "don't try that at home" would actually help people who ignore experts? That all makes about as much sense as suggesting a master pilot kiting on a wide open beach with perfect control is "reckless". Instead of trying to educate the experts wouldn't it make more sense to learn from those who's new students have skills you don't even have after supposed "years of flying"? What's truly reckless is trying to fly off a mountain when you literally can't even do what brand new SUPER students can do th-cam.com/video/uHFnDQp5QSo/w-d-xo.html and even more so would be to try to take passengers without having the actual skills it takes to deal with adverse wind conditions and on gear that is nowhere near as safe as what it should be. What shouldn't be tried is to fly off mountains without any real actual SUPER training or skill but foolish people don't listen to that obvious logic any more than "don't try this at home".

      No actually I didn't and no true Christians are not offended even by those who do. A prophet said "he who takes offense when no offense was intended is a fool and he who takes offense when offense was intended is most likely a fool. So no true Christians don't get offended no matter what people do. Instead we have a heart full of love and want to help others. True disciples of Jesus Christ can literally perform miracles just as we did all through the scriptures. Would you like to become a true disciple of Jesus Christ? Jesus Christ made it quite clear that without baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost one CANNOT enter the kingdom of heaven. Since you have neither of these ordinances I would highly encourage you to sincerely seek out the one true church and learn of Jesus Christ. The one true church on earth today comes with direct confirmation of it's truth from God directly so there can be no mistake about it. Just like the Bible says it's ONLY though the Holy Ghost that men may KNOW the truth. So instead of accusing actual Christians you should seek to become one yourself fine sir. Listen to the Holy Ghost and you can in fact KNOW who's who and what's what so you don't ever have to make this mistake again. By listening closely to the Holy Ghost you can instantly know a true Christian by the gift of the Holy Ghost that surrounds them. It's quite incredible actually. If you would like some help getting pointed in the right direction just give me a call at 800-707-2525. :)
