I only got to go once in August of 2005 but I spent a whole Monday there riding both rides all day. I wish all those actors who worked there well, it was a fun time, if I had lived in Vegas I would have been there every week.
I went not long after it opened. It was a great experience! Quarks was great with actors that never broke character. A Klingon saw my Veteran hat and told the Ferengi "You should give this man a drink for his time in battle!" In true form and without missing a beat, the Ferengi said "GIVE???!!!"
I was eating ribs (of Targ) when a Klingon came over to us and asked if I enjoyed them. I told them that I must have, since I ate all of them. He proclaimed "No, you didn't eat the bones!"
Wait a minute.. I've been here in Las Vegas for 24 years.. I went to that and it was one of the best times of my life... But I thought it was sold off and gone once Westgate came.. you sure it's still there cuz I don't think so
@@EricMcbride-mm5bu Star Trek The Experience has been gone for years. They lost the license due to failure to pay the fees. There was talk about it reopening at a local Mall, but it never came about.
I absolutely loved this attraction, as well as the Borg Encounter the Hilton later added. The Star Trek museum/timeline you walked through to get into the attraction was also amazing. There was even Quark's Bar when you came out of the simulation. I really miss those days when Vegas was more than just gambling.
Best time was going to Quarks first for a warp core breech then the ride, I almost got kicked off for going to Warfs tactical display and got in the actors way!
Went with a lady friend and enjoyed the 3D simulation with the Borg encounter. Except for a slight technical glitch. When a Borg approaches you and tries to implant its nanoprobes, a pneumatic piston on the back of your chair was supposed to thump you in the lower back. The piston on her chair was misaligned and she got thumped in a somewhat more sensitive location. Which resulted in the guy in the seat behind her almost getting knocked clear to Henderson!
Great job. I must have gone to Star Trek: The Experience a dozen times. Miss it so much. I don't even bother going back to Las Vegas anymore, there's just no point.

Still the best immersive media experience ever created. Supposedly Cedar Fair has the sets in storage. Don’t know why they don’t bring this back to one of the parks, just need to pay Paramount for the IP licensing fee.
Agreed. When I first rode this I could NOT beleive how great it was, and I was 30 somthign at the time. Surprising they can't dupicate this. The closest I have seen is the Millenium Falcon ride. But still, not even close.
If Cedar Fair has it and the merger with Six Flags goes through they should set it up at Six Flags Magic Mountain just North of Los Angeles. That would get the park a boost in attendance it needs from all us Trekkies and Trekkers that either missed out or want to experience it again and again. Even adding in an ADA accessable version for those who couldn't ride the original would help tremendously. I know I'd be at that Six Flags once a month minimum if that were to happen.

Love how in the flyover of the Strip, we see Treasure Island, and just a second later there's the Hilton. In reality, it was quite a trek (ha ha) getting between the two.
I remember being there back in 2003. It was pretty cool. A Ferengi offered me 1000 bars of gold pressed latinum for my girlfriend and a Klingon growled at me. I swore at him in Klingon and asked him if he was prepared to go to Suto'vo'qor (StovoKor).
I also was lucky enough to get to go once and LOVED IT! Especially when they pretended to beam the group onboard as it really seemed real, well the first time anyway.... I too, as someone else mentioned below. really enjoyed all the props and costumes desplayed in the wait cue to enter the show.
this was such an amazing ride. i rode it every time i came to vegas until they shut it down. for the era, the special effects were amazing. i could only imagine what this would look like if they could do it with todays tech. it was a huge mistake to shut this down. i have never been back to the casino it was at since. in fact over the last 15 years vegas has become less magical and fun with the creative stuff closing and the focus on gaming and sports. it truly is a lost era

I have to admit, that was one of the best experiences I've had. Even though there was a. . .I'll say warp plasma leak that delayed our mission. So, some of the crew and Klingons from, uhhhh Quark's *winks* were mingling with us as we waited, which was extremely rare for the cast to mingle. And Quark's afterward was quite a novelty.
